But I seriously doubt Forbes went out of their way to find a means of embarrassing Eddie Murphy specifically. They are a money magazine, why would they have a vendetta against him? They simply thought of a formula to determine the success of an actor's recent work, and when they did the numbers, Eddie was on top. Katherine Heigl was second.

It's a dubious honor, yes, but they found a clever way to deliver a story about movie stars that would sell some magazines. Nothing more.

Anyone that tops a list whether its the most beautiful in the world or who earned the most in one year. Is the one that everyone talks about. Eddie was definitely singled out. Its his picture that is on the front of every article of this story. Whether U want to refuse to believe that is on U. The entertainment Industry builds u up & tears U down. Ask the late great MJ....

Yes, I agree, and as I said YOU also singled him out because he won. But do you really believe the whole contest was concocted as a way to embarrass him? I don't believe that.

however, I will agree that a list like this is definitely made to hate on actors in general.

I just don't think they would have cared if Katherine Heigl was #1 or if Eddie Murphy was #1. They were happy to name either one of them as a failure!

Yeah this definitely wasn't a concoction to knock Eddie Murphy down a peg... he is overpaid lol thing is I'm surprised anyone still pays him all that money for films they don't even care about themselves. Eddie made the choice to do the films and to get the money anyway.

Yes I do! Because Eddie was just given a tribute that I attended just weeks ago. Now all of a sudden he tops a list of overpaid actors. A list that I never seen before in prior years..I don't like to play the race card. But this is very fishy to me..If the tribute didn't happen. I bet this list wouldn't have happened either. Someone doesn't like that Eddie is still getting paid big mega bucks.

you can know if he or she is wrong. Last years most overpaid actress was Drew Barrymore and the year before that was Will Ferrell. And this year was not the first year Eddie was on there. It seems a bit weird to me that the OP would post a thread garnering negative attention. In my opinion, Eddie Murphy has not been funny in years. Tower Heist showed a little of that old spark but it seems to me that Eddie could have made his sucky movies better if he is so great. As far as the tribute they are mostly given when people are past their prime. Maybe the tribute was done as a result of the Forbes list?

Unfortunately i watched that horrible tree movie last night A Thousand Words. I did

like Norbit which i thought was extremely funny and Tower Heist. Pluto Nash and

Daddy Day Care weren't that bad but certainly not great. I'm interested to see

the movie he did call Imagine That. I saw the trailer and it looks interesting where

he steps into his daughter's imaginary world to solve his problems. I also like the

young actor in the movie Bobby J. Thompson. He's acted in a few movies where

he's played the mischievous kid like he did in Role Models.

Bobb'e J. Thompson currently has a recuring role in Tyler Perry's successful sitcom "For Better or Worse" playing the son of Tasha Smith(who I currently have a thread on) & Michael Jae White's characters based on Tyler Perry's successful movies "Why DiD I GeT MArried & Why did I Get Married Too..He has had a full career.
