I am at home (it's one in the morning overhere). There is a police station in my house and 2 schools and a park are just around the corner. There is not that much snow currently as on the photo (but some), but this is the look out of my living room window where you can see the park and 1 school:

At work, based in the centre of town at the major intersection, around one corner is a Target, offices and a school, around the other is the Town Hall with a carillon that plays every 15 mins.

Yes you are! Taquitos rule!

But one thing about a Whataburger hamburger - you eat one, and the smell sticks around for awhile!

The building I work in kinda takes up a whole city block so it's hard to say what's exactly "around the corner" as that could really be in the same building.

That said, I'm within a block of First Avenue, The Target Center, Macy's, Nieman Marcus and really a whole bunch of other places. Lots and lots of stores and restaurants and bars and offices and so on.

Hey, have you been to the new Oceanaire at 6th and Nicollet? Sweetie and I haven't been there since they moved and we're going to be up there tomorrow. We loved the old place and I understand the atmosphere is very different. Just wondering if it's worth going, at all, anymore.

I have not been there, no. I know the old location had such high reviews, but I haven't heard since they've moved.

Incidentally, that's right next to me too. lol

I knew that. lol

True story: when I was six (going into first grade), my mom took me shopping for school clothes at Dayton's. (We were in Minneapolis visiting my uncle and aunt.) And then, we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant called The Sampan, which used to be downtown. I felt so special.

A few years later, when the Mary Tyler Moore show aired, I always got a little thrill when she spun around and tossed her beret in front of Dayton's. I loved that I had actually been someplace that was on TV. (I felt the same way about all the shots of Chicago in The Bob Newhart Show.) lol

That's awesome!

My grandma used to take me downtown on the bus when I was little on occasion to go shopping. Sometimes we ate lunch in the restaurant in the bottom of Powers (there's a blast from the past) but once in a while she'd take me to the Nan King. Eating in a Chinese restaurant in downtown Minneapolis was just so incredibly exotic!!

Y'know what? I'm pretty sure it was the Nan King my mom and I went to. I think the Sampan was in Chicago... hmmm

Fifth Avenue, with the Museum of Modern Art on the other side of that.

Rockefeller Center is few blocks away.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
