Take the Nerd, Geek, or Dork test. Pure Dork

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.

I got Pure Nerd - 52 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 30% Dork
The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Me: 35% nerd 17% geek 48% dork Results For The Record: YOU scored less than half in all three, earning you the title of: Joe Normal. This is not to say that you don't have some Nerd, Geek or Dork inside of you--we all do, and you can see the percentages you have right above. This is just to say that none of those qualities stand out so much as to define you. Sure, you enjoy an episode of Star Trek now and again, and yeah, you kinda enjoyed a few classes back in the day. And, once in a while, you stumble while walking down the street even though there was nothing there to cause you to trip. But, for the most part, you look and act fairly typically, and aren't much of an outcast. I'd say there's a fair chance someone asked you to take this test. In any event, fairly normal. Congratulations! .....

Here's mine;
61 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 61% Dork
The classic, "80's" nerd, you are what most people think of when they think "nerd," largely due to 80's movies like Revenge of the Nerds and TV shows like Head of the Class. You're exceptionally bright and smart, and partly because of that have never quite fit in with your peers or social groups. Perhaps you've realized, or will someday, that it is possible to retain all of the things that you like about being brilliant and still make peace with the social cliques around you. Or maybe you won't--it's really not necessary. As the brothers of Lambda Lambda Lambda discovered, you're fine just the way you are and can take pride in that. I mean, who wants to be like Ogre, right!?

I'm an Outcast Genius. 65% nerd, 57% geek, 61% dork. Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject). Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius.

First of all, this question, "Do you have any jokes/stories that you tell as standard issue to new friends and acquaintences, to the point where sometimes you forget who you've told, and who you haven't?", cracked me the hell up! I answered no, btw.
Second, I refute these results because I believe with every ounce of my being that a "nerd" has a particular look (glasses, pocket protector, floods, shirt tucked in all the time, out of date fashion sense, etc.) and that only that look can make you honestly and truly a "nerd". I've identified myself as a "geek" for many, MANY years. They even use "geeky" in the description of "nerd"... which makes no sense. But... uhh... I'll stop being both of them right now and move on....
Lastly, did anybody else start off checking yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and start to get a little worried?

Bullshit. I'm a pure geek.
This test didn't take into account that someone could be a music geek. All the questions were about films, tv shows, fiction or comics. I could identify just about any keyboard instrument manufactured in the 1970s or in the 1980s (I don't even need the full picture). For that matter, I could probably even tell what type of inner architectures they have.

I guess I'm not as smart as I thought. I can't get my results because the last thing is "Prove you're human," and in red it said, "Incorrect. Please try again." WTF? Can someone tell my stupid ass what I'm doing wrong?
NEVERMIND! My blind ass didn't see the subscript. [Edited 11/26/12 11:46am]

Modern, Cool Nerd52 % Nerd, 70% Geek, 22% Dork For The Record:
Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I call BS on this because the #'s do not add up...
I guess I am a nerd... [Edited 11/27/12 13:14pm]

That's what I got, too.
And I was unpopular when I was in school - especially with guys. They don't like it when they get shown up by a girl. Immature crybabies. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
