Marriage/Relationship question If a man or a woman dreams about somebody else other than their significant other , does that mean they still have feelings for that person or does it mean it was just a dream? There was no sex in the dream either...

Ex-Moderator | I'm most apt to say it's just a dream.
But they may have dreamed about the person because they've been on their mind. Only the dreamer knows for sure.
Of course, just because someone's been on their mind doesn't mean they have feelings for them either.
I would just ask. |

they say we come into the world with invisible, spiritual 'cords' which eternally link us to those with whom we're meant to share something in life, perhaps over many lifetimes. the cords can stretch, but they never break

Depending on the nature of the dream, it may or may not mean one has feelings for the person in question. We'd probably need more detail to offer anything useful. And, yes, only the dreamer could truly discern this.
In any case, I see no big deal in someone having feelings for a person other than their significant other. It's not like the appeal of all other humans ceases to exist when one commits to a relationship. If monogamy is the goal, the critical question is to what extent one has stronger feelings for -- and certainly a stronger binding commitment to -- one's chosen partner. As long as things are solid there, mere dreams aren't much to worry over, I think. [Edited 12/5/12 17:52pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Some ways of analyzing dream is that everything in the dream is a projection of you. In that context what does this other person have to say? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

last night I had many dreams and one clip was of a Teacher and her Husband in a darkened room with one of her students. The teacher was smoking PCP through a pipe and her student was already high. She tried to force the student to smoke more but the student was on her hands and knees in confusion. The husband and his friend then did stuff to the girl....you can imagine what.
I wasn't thinking of none of these people!

I dream of different people. I'm pretty sure that does not imply there are romantic feelings.
It's brain activity, processing past experiences.
If you want to give a special meaning to your dream, that probably says more about your conscious thoughts and feelings than the dream itself.
99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

At any rate, I have dreamed about all kinds of crazy things that I was not into. I hardly think it means you are into them. But it doesn't mean you are NOT into them. My Legacy

they still have feelings for that person if they still have feelings for that person... dream or no dream... this stuff is incredibly simple to work out if you're honest with yourself [Edited 12/6/12 0:08am]

Just a dream. I've dreamt about folk I hardly know or really care about. I've had very personal/intimate dreams involving folk I hardly know and haven't met personally, like Prince. It doesn't mean I'm in love, just horny as hell.

is this really a marriage relationship question? as long as youre not having nightmares, i wouldn't worry over it. if you have feelings for this person, maybe they will not appear as themselves in your dream anyway, they might take the form of a celebrity maybe, or someone you used to have feelings for, or even someone unidentifiable.

Just a dream. I have no significant other at the moment, but I had the best dream ever last night that I spent some "quality time" with Idris Elba. Doesn't mean I'll meet him today and he'll whisk me off and make me his wife. Urgh. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

yes, people have ways of transforming their appearances in dreams. You never know who you'll be sleeping with! My Legacy
