Analyze My Dream ™ - "The Wedding Bear"

Two brothers decide to play a prank on their father. They bring a trained bear to their house and instruct it to scare their dad by chasing him around the house. The dad, unaware that the bear is trained and tame, enters the kitchen sees the bear and turns and runs. The brothers are watching the scene through the window and enjoying the fact that their dad is so scared. Around in circles went the bear and their father from the living room to the patio to the kitchen to the living room again and on and on…

The boys enter the house and one of them distracts the bear while the other grabs their dad and tells him that the only way to disinterest the bear is to dress up in a wedding dress and play dead. So the son hands the father a wedding dress and the father quickly dresses in it and gets into a coffin that happens to be on a table in the living room. The father plays dead for a few minutes and cannot hear any sign that the bear is still there. The father slowly opens his eyes only to see the bear standing there with a huge grin, dressed in a tuxedo and holding a bouquet of flowers.

An all-male household, two brothers who make a hairy bear chase a patriach who ends up in a wedding dress and wakes up to find the bear in a tuxedo, presumably about to marry him. A twist : the bear is trained.

It sounds like you went to sleep horny. nod

The bear is a symbol of overt masculine heterosexuality...the fact that the bear is trained, and thus not as "stereotypically masculine" as it appears to be (to the father anyway) symbolizes the homosexual reality beneath the machismo facade...the boys playing a prank represents the act of keeping the homosexuality a secret from the "father figure" in the dream, which could represent the head of a household, it could symbolize society as a whole, or it could represent that false hetero aspect of yourself you chose to try and promote for so long during your younger years...having this figure put on a wedding dress equates to forcing the false hetero within you to accept the true homosexual within you and succumb to it as the only true way of spiritual survival--with the coffin symbolizing the death of the false lifestyle...the tuxedo-wearing bear smiling down at the father figure at the end represents the merging of all the aspects of yourself you've lived thru into one content, happy "union" for you to live within...

In short, this dream shows you're aggressively gay... 8)

As Freud said, sometimes a bear dressed up in a tuxedo is just a bear dressed up in a tuxedo. biggrin

I disagree. It's about Supa and his sexual desires.

Bear : Hairy gay male of a certain corpulence, representing the summum of masculinity. Because too much masculinity can be overpowering, it's trained.
Father : Daddy - the older gay man..
The Brothers : Younger men who control the bear.

The daddy putting on the dress is acknowledging that the bear is the alpha male. Yet the alpha male is controlled by the young men. Who seem to want to see something happen between the bear and the daddy.

I think Supa is one of the brothers... nod

Well this makes sense considering that even though I'm technically a bottom, I yield control over all the men I date smile

Exactly. The bottom ultimately calls the shots and allow the "top" to be "dominant".
