NeNe Pops Back At The HATERS & Asks Why Blacks Support Kim K. & Not HER

NeNe Pops Back At The HATERS & Asks Why Blacks Support Kim K. & Not HER Photobucket

NeNe Leakes has some words for the haters...especially those who are quick to support someone like successful-from-a-sex-tape chick Kim Kardashian, but completely critical of NeNe's talents & career.

Check out how she's calling out the black community, plus, how the talented Amel Larrieux is prepping for a comeback...

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe gave a telling interview to The Daily Beast about the hate she's received after covering the Power Issue of EBONY magazine. Whether it was the fact she was being recognized as "powerful" or the pic of her in a tub of diamonds some called tacky--everybody had an opinion.

But the reality star let none of it get to her, an actually called folks to task for supporting sex-tape-comeuppance-publicity-hungry star Kim Kardashian....but not NeNe:

“It’s true and I know you’ve heard it a million times, [African Americans] just don’t support one another,” she says. “But it’s OK for you to go pick up a magazine cover with Kim Kardashian. She’s my girl. We are cool. We talk. We do drinks and all of that. But her story ain’t no different than mine. You know what I mean? I might’ve worked at the strip club, but she made a sex tape.”

NeNe also explained that the flack she caught for making EBONY's Power Issue cover, came mostly from the African American community. But she's not letting the hate stop her one bit:

“I absolutely deserve to be on the cover...This cover is about money, power, and respect. And it’s about a come-up story and I’m the one that had that story this year … Not only did I come out as a reality star that was very boisterous and vivacious and outspoken and all those things. I flipped that into money and respect. And a lot of people can’t do that.

“But listen to me, definitely all of the negative feedback definitely came from my own; African Americans were the ones that were the most negative,” she continues, adding, “And it’s so funny to me because I would call [the editor] over at Ebony and she would say ‘Girl please, glass houses. That’s all it is. They don’t want to see you on the cover, they don’t really understand the reason why you’re on the cover, they don’t know your story.’”

We must say, chick has a few great points. With her stints on hit tv shows "Glee" and "The New Normal," it's clear she does have actual talent as an actress. And at some point, folks will possibly respect that and will not call her a famous for nothing chick with no talent--like some other people we know.

Check out The Daily Beast for the full interview.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with me "hating" another African American. I have no idea what she has done outside of that supposed reality show and ifthat is all she is famous for, then she is indeed famous for nothing.

Acting like her role in "The New Left" is groundbreaking because she plays a post-op transgender woman... it would've been better if a REAL transgender person played that role instead of her. Fuck that shit. bored2 I can't even watch that show, it's boring and unfunny with and without her. yawn

ohgoon That moose's head is so far up her ass it's insane. I'm so sick and tired of her acting like folks are supposed to be falling all over her just because she feels she's "arrived" by being hired to do a TV sitcom. rolleyes Since when is it not enough for someone to just tell you "congratulations on your success" and then keep it moving? Wow NeNe, really?

Just for the record, I've never liked NeNe, even when she was full on busted in season 1 of Real Housewives of Atlanta and I still don't like her to this day with her newfound blond weave, nose job and all. The REALITY is that her ATTITUDE is ugly. No matter how much money you are "newly" earning, you don't aren't entitled to be respected. RESPECT must be earned right along with those checks she's cashing. One would think that if she really doesn't care who supports her or not, she would keep cashing the checks, eat some HUMBLE pie and shut the fuck up....but I guess it's lonely at the top.

^^^For real. If she's being this thin-skinned about the whole "Ebony cover" situation (fact: if she had to speak out about her so-called Haters regarding this topic, then it bothers her more than we know, otherwise, she would have ignored it and kept it moving) then what is she going to do when the press and media really try to fuck with her? disbelief Some folks aren't built to be famous like they think they are (or portray themselves out to be). So what is she going to do every time someone says something negative about her? Run to Twitter? Do an interview? As Harle said, she just needs to take a seat, have a coke and a smile.

That's why I didn't think the whole Ebony cover thing was a big deal. I've been cancelled my subscription to both Jet and Ebony. They both started to bore me. The only magazine that holds my interest is Essence and I even cancelled their subscription a year ago..only because I would receive my magazine a week or two AFTER they would hit the newstands. If I'm going to be paying a subscription, I should have top dibs in my mailbox before I walk into my local grocery store and see it on their shelves. But that's just me. lol

Hell, if I hadn't cancelled my subscription to Ebony years ago, I damn sure would have cancelled it, the moment I saw that tacky ass cover with this child on it. I don't care how much plastic surgery she has, she can't remove that stank ass personality of hers, which is the cause of why she get's no love.

And for the record, outside of Kanye and some other horny toads, nobody gives a damn about Kim K. neither!

Ya' know.

I had to come in the thread to make sure that this couldn't be..., and lo and behold it was.

And yes that mag cover was tacky, I haven't even thought about picking up that issue not even to skim thru at the checkout stand, what possible tidbits could I possibly get reading anything more about her.

Why would black people (especially black women) support a ghetto, quick weave wearing, loud-mouth hussy like NeNe Leaks?

She's every negative stereotype of black females wrapped up into one, I'm glad we have Michelle Obama (the epitome of CLASS) to cancel out some of the vermin in the black community.

I can't wait until this reality TV craze dies down and is replaced with watchable programs.
