If I had been Pat, I would have yanked her ass aside and given her a tongue lashing about disrespecting her grandmother that way.

Missed that one! This is the same one sitting up under everybody's arm like a baby on crack but still wanting to be fawned over...that has everybody baking her muffins to "make Chrisy cheer up" and etc? From what I seen, Pat doesn't seem equipped on handling serious shit. She didn't handle Whitney's death well at all almost to the point where I almost thought she had something to do with it though I know better now.

I think she is likely excellent in her managerial role for the family where money, finances, and running business is concerned, and might probably be the one to thank that Bobby Kris even has 20 Million left for an inheritance the way her mother squired away money on drugs. But just because you're good at handling paperwork, doesn't make you eqippped to handle the crappy side of people and emotions and like you said, the serious shit.

In the show, I notice when she gets overwhelmed by the prospect of going in hard and dealing with problems, she sidesteps and calls in someone else to have an influence in the hopes that it will be the cure all for what's what's ailing everyone. We've seen her do this 3 times by calling in the family spiritual advisor, calling Krissy's Godmother Cece Winans, and Grandma Cissy. She uses them to say the words that she thinks she can't, and it's not helping. Krissy will go, high as hell, sit up under the matron of the moment, promise to do well & say I love you ---then get right back up and go out running the streets attached to her (ex) boyfriend/brother Nick...in their matching outfits.

The parent as friend crap does. not. work. when a kid is in trouble like this.
