I do. And every year I get myself a new one... having a hard time figuring out which one to buy this year (I find the more I like it, the more I write in it).

I usually like spirals... they're just easier to write in on the go.

So anyone here keep a journal? What kind?

i do keep one, usually it's one that i get that's hand made locally by someone. i love those unique ones.

Yep. Well, I don't have a problem calling it a diary.

I just write on the computer. I started writing to it 9½ years ago. It would be already over 2000 pages long if I'd print it all out. I actually lost about 10% of it a while ago when the file got too big and the program I was using for it crashed during saving it.

It took me quite a long time to be really, really honest about what I thought about some of the issues I've written about. Some of the content would be just plain scary to read for some.

Amanda I kept journals from 1992 to 2005. They were bound journals and traced the evolution of personal ideology. Overwhelmingly I collected leather journals. My favorite was a Lama Li journal because it was raw and earthy ... very rugged and matched what my soul was feelign at the time.

The paper is amazing to touch ... and just transported me to another world where I could really be in touch with my thoughts.

I now just track my ideas through my fictional writing and am actually comtemplating destroying my journals so they won't be around after my death.

Yes, and it is neglected. I've probably made 3 entries this year.

You're going to destroy them? Wow. Just make sure it's what you really want... you never know you may want to reflect. But then again I know what you mean about not wanting them around.
