Kevin used to be married so maybe he was one of those guys who felt more comfortable being with effeminate men so he would feel less gay. This second dude looks like a straight-up chick! If he was knowingly messing around with teenage boys then he was asking for trouble. Too many adult men out there would have been more than happy to have Kevin and probably would have kept their big, fat mouths shut, too. Now, he's been publically humiliated twice and his career is more than likely over. Guys, why do we so often let our hormones get us in trouble???

I really hope he doesn't go to jail, which I guess that's with the dropping of the suits is about. It's sad his career is over and that he goes out in such a disgraced way, but I'm know given time his legacy will outweigh any of this kooky mess. Hun, I'd still buy Elmo stuff for my grandkids if I had any.

It’s a little late in the game, but one of Kevin Clash’s adult lovers has come forward to defend the former Sesame Street puppeteer after several young men accused him of underage sex.

“Kevin is not a villain,” Jason Murray told Eonline! “Yes, he had an affinity for younger men, but what successful [straight] man doesn’t have an affinity for younger women? It’s the same thing, gay or not.”

Murray continued: “Does he prey on these [boys]? In my heart I don’t believe that.”

He added: “I think it’s like Hugh Hefner, he dates younger women,” said Murray. “Kevin likes younger guys.” But, “I am reading the news and all the negative stuff. I don’t see it. He had a good heart.”

Clash, 52, who provided the voice of Elmo for 2 decades, took a leave of absence after a man came forward claiming he was 16 when he had sexual trysts with Clash. After repeated denials, Clash paid his accuser $125,000 to recant his accusation.

Clash later resigned from Sesame Street when a second accuser surfaced. A third accuser has since stepped forward with similar claims of underage sex.

Sesame Workshop, the company that produces Sesame Street, called the gay controversy “a distraction that none of us want.”

Clash is a divorced father of a grown daughter.

Kevin Clash has been sued by a 4TH accuser ... who claims he also had a sexual relationship with the former voice of Elmo while he was a minor ... TMZ has learned.

We've learned ... the accuser, who filed the lawsuit in federal court in NY under the name John Doe, claims he first met Clash in Miami Beach in 1995 or 1996 ... while Doe was 16 or 17 and Clash was in his mid '30s.

Doe claims ... Clash eventually flew him out to NYC and gave him money and a place to stay. During the trip, Doe claims the two had sex on multiple occasions.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Doe claims he's suffered tremendous emotional, mental and psychological damage as a result of the relationship.

TMZ spoke to Doe's attorney, Jeff Herman, who tells us, "According to our lawsuit, Kevin Clash knowingly paid to transport a minor across state lines for the purpose of satisfying his sexual interests."

Of Clash's 4 accusers, only 3 have filed lawsuits. The first accuser struck a settlement with Clash and agreed not to pursue litigation.

We reached out to Clash for comment -- no word back.
