Yes, this was a fantastic, funny show. Everyone was very talented, but my fav was always Tim Conway. Him and Harvey were amazing together.

Yeah I watched it as a kid as well.
Tim Conway was hilarious as the old man. Absolutely hilarious!
...and I do lament the fact that there isn't anything like this anymore...something the whole family can sit down and watch (that isn't "American Idol" or "SYTYCD"). By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

It surprises me how twisted and dysfunctional Mama's Family was for a comedy show in the late 70's. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Loved, loved, loved the show. I was told it was the last shadow reminance of vauldeville, or something like that. A style of entertainment that was slowly going out of fashion. But I have pleasant memories, and a very warm spot in my heart for those people.

It's examples like this when I can say thank goodness for youtube; for all of the toxic, meaningless crap on there, it's always awesome to be able to go back and find great shows like this on there

One of my favorites. The Mrs. Wiggins sketches were great and the Mama's Family sketches on the old Carol Burnett Show were even funnier than when she got her own series. Mama was a lot more redneckish on the old Carol Burnett Show. . . . [Edited 11/16/12 14:18pm] Andy is a four letter word.

Classic TV. This show was the "Saturday Night Special" in my house in the 70's.
I always dug how they would break character and laugh throughout the skits.

i totally luved Mama's Family. vicki lawrence was fantastically funny in her portrayal of "Mama." i've known women like her. full of good old fashioned luv, with a whole lot of sarcasm on the side. and carol burnett in her role as "eunice" was too funny. i'm telling yah the show had me in stitches.
vint (played by ken berry), was such a weenie. the show got my 5 s as a great show. when re-runs of 'mama's family' show in my area, i watch . good wholesome laughter!!!!! “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a

LOVED this show. Carol & Company were plum fools.
My favorite skits were between Mr. Tim Conway and Ms. Carol Burnett
Mr. Tudball & Wanda Wiggins
I purchased the Carol Burnett Show DVD collection in July, this edition includs the music numbers. The earlier editions didn't because Ms. Burnett said the cost of paying copyright was too expensive.

I saw the show on some channel years ago. I don't even know if the channel exists anymore but I loved it. I used to always watch it on Fridays I think after playing Sonic.

I've never seen The Carol Burnett Show. But I watched a few episode of Mama's Family when it was airing on Pax and that was the epitome of shitty sitcom.

The Carol Burnette show's Mama's Family was more in your face comedy then the sitcom Mama's Family. Seeing Carol break up at the end of the scene priceless.
THen there is Tim (the dentist in the sketch) who always surprised Harvey (the patient) in the scene they were doing. For instance, they practiced the sketch many times, but this wasn't the skit they practiced. So, Harvey has no idea what Tim was going to be doing during this sketch. Tim's soul purpose was to see if he could make Harvey crack. He did this many times.
