Marriage question My brother just got married last year. he says it seems like he argues constantly with his wife..his coming to me with advice..the way he's talking, sounds like he wants out.I told him this, the only thing I know is that its not gonna be always PEACHES and CREAMS, you have good days and bad days..its all about love , trust, and communication...there are times when I wish my wife would be quiet, but it doesnt mean I love her any less!

So...what's the question?

uggggh...my brother almost called it quits in the beginning also. I actually wanted him to. But, he stuck it out. I can't say that they are happy with each other most of the time, but they now have 3 girls and seem to make it together for them.
To me, it seems like just existing, not living, and certainly not happy with each other.
Being happy is what matters most...sometimes its just being by yourself that gets you there.
Myself, I am happiest when I am with my wife. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

If he wants out, he should get out...especially if there are no children involved at this point.
I see no reason to try and work it out when you know you don't want it.

Why did he get married in the first place? I think it's obvious there is some unresolved issues, before the marriage.

Never ceases to amaze me - mfers getting married when deep down, they know they shouldn't. Idiots.

Totally. And what's even worse is often they then bring children into the equation - sometimes thinking it will make things better.
Sad. | |

....and it's the kids who suffer the most.
Better to back out of a wedding (and take the hit) than go through years of misery.

Yup.
And it's not even always about being in misery, sometimes it's just about having to settle and just accepting what you've done and just trying to make the best of it, thinking you have to.
I find that just as sad. | |

Jeez - you lot give up quickly! They need to at least try to make a go of it first, before chucking in the towel. I'd suggest that they sit down and talk to each other properly, or go to couples counseling. If after say 6 months it still isn't working out, then call it a day and move on. I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

I don't see the importance of staying in a relationship that creates negative stress for both parties.
If there are no children involved, why not divorce and creat a nice and peaceful life for themselves?
But hey, if arguing is their thing, they should stay married and keep eachother busy with fighting over futile things. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.
