RED DAWN - The remake

I was just wondering why they're not promoting the hell out of the fact that Tom Cruise's son, Connor, is in this movie.

Just a random thought.

it was supposed to come out a year or maybe more ago. That is not a good sign. I heard back then that they were going to change the ethnicity of the invaders.

Did not know that.

I just have such an issue with remakes. I say this over and over again. Isn't Hollywood supposed to be creative?

One of my co-workers read today that they are developing a non-spoofing MacGyver movie.

I thought the same thing about Hollywood.

My girls saw the preview for Red Dawn and want to go because Chris Helmsworth is in it, so we're going over the Thanksgiving (US) weekend.

I'm firmly planted in denial

are you sure?i thought it was temple of doom?

oh... Temple of Doom was one of the movies that led to the PG-13. It seems Steven made the "The Flamingo Kid" was the first to be given a PG-13.

oh? eek that's a major undertaking!

I heard about this movie (which everyone compared to the original Red Dawn)

Teens return from a campingtrip to find their town has been invaded by unidentified - but asian in appearance - armed force.

I'm the mistake you wanna make

As a kid I LOVED the original, made for plenty of bang-bang-shoot'em-up in the backyard... johnwoo

pissed that they even dared make a remake and how STUPID is it that they considered North Korea as invader...

There'd better be a scene where they all pop out of the ground and shout "Wolverines!" and then blast the hell out of the bad guys.

In fact, the more scenes there are where that happens, the better the movie will be.
