Boardwalk Empire S3, Epi #9: "The Milkmaid's Lot"

Only 3 episodes left in the season folks!

Hard to believe, this season went by fast...although IMO the plot has been slow.

So in this episode, we see Nucky in his vulnerability (excellently portrayed by Steve Buscemi); Richard's smoothness (it's hard not to fall in love with that man mushy); Gillian's carelessness; Margaret and Owen's "secret" plans; Gyp's power; and well everything else in between.

I'm more interested in seeing how Richard's role will play in as far as Nucky is concerned. I get the feeling that he will be involved in the war between Nucky and Gyp somehow. I also think that he maybe thinking about removing Tommy out of that environment he's in. I can't stand how Gillian underestimates Richard. That man is nowhere near dumb or naive, he's very intelligent and thinks of moves that are powerfully calculating (which he proved when he was alongside Jimmy). Nucky definitely needs Richard on his team.

It was sort of irritating seeing Nucky in such a delicate condition. But once he's back to normal, it'll be interesting to see where Rothstein and the other bosses end up when this is all over.

It's been disappointing seeing less of Chalky this season.

Do you guys really think that Margaret is really going to leave?

I just got to watch this afternoon...

Every time I think that Nucky and Margaret will reconnect, she lets me down... Nucky was suffering, and she was planning to run away... I was glad when Nucky called her "Schroeder".

I don't like that we don't get much Chalky. What ever happened with his daughter? confused

I'm a little over Gyp. I can't explain it, but he annoys me.

I love Richard! Good for him! touched

Gillian... rolleyes

I know right.

I haven't liked Margaret since last season, but in her defense, Nucky kind of made it hard for her to attempt to reconnect with him (she had no intentions to, but I'm saying if she wanted to reconnect with him) since he got her and his mistress all confused. Urgh.

I don't get why we haven't seen much of Chalky this season either. Hopefully the producers and writers are listening to the fans because there are complaints all on the BE blogs on the HBO site about Chalky's noticeable reduction in screen time this season.

I'm just waiting for the end of the season when Gyp finally gets what's coming to him. I do have to say that Bobby Cannavale is doing a great job with his portrayal of him though.

I'm secretly hoping that Richard offs Gillian, takes the house over, let the whores go free, moves in his lady friend and they all become a happy family raising Tommy. lol But I know this is just wishful thinking.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
