If you have multiple partners over a relatively short period of time, you're promiscuous - that's it really. It's not dependant on what sex you are. You either are or you are not.

I'm an old man and settled down now but even when I was really out there, I don't think I had more than 12 sexual partners in my entire lifetime! But, that was my choice. I was always too scared. Condoms meant "safer", not necessarily "safe". So I always aired on the side of caution, which caused me to be VERY selective of who I had sex with. Personally, for myself, I think 12 different partners in 12 months is bit promiscous. But, I believe most people think that's quite normal. I know some folks who have had 12 different partners within the last month.

Hell, I'd be happy as hell if I slept with 12 different partners in 12 months nowadays because I'm much slower than I used to be.
