Thank's for sharing! Orsen was a bad ass.. and a bit crazy which made him even greater! Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Yeah I loved the part where at the end he yells at the guy talking about "now what is it you want with the DEPTHS of your IGNORANCE, what is it you want?"
Funny but I had always thought Brain was modeled after Orson Welles from the big forehead to that mad stare to his voice.

Orson, Mork calling Ors.. Oh hang on, that Orson...
He was a card and sharp as a pin. Another great nutcase.

All 3 of these were hilarious! Welles comes off as I would peg him too.

Dude he was so TOSSED up in this. I couldn't stop laughing but I felt sorry for him at the same time. This commercial aired about seven years before he died if I can recall.

I read a biographery on Orson and round this time he was dirt poor and had to do these commercials. He felt this was very beneath him and ashamed he had reached this low in his career. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I can believe it. That's why he was pissed with having to do it. By the time of the Paul Masson commercials, he seemed defeated and felt his life was hopeless. It can explain his drunken slurriness during the outtakes, which, like I said, was hilarious and sad at the same time.
