As the title says, there are so many flavours to choose from, and in some countries more than in others. Crisps/chips... I prefer roasted chicken, prawn or spicy just Paprika, no salt, vinegar etc. lol

A sample delish here: lol

Is this your thumb?

I have NEVER heard of roasted chicken or prawn chips!

No, and yes roasted chicken and prawn flavour is avaiable in the UK. I'll org you later.

Prince I will always miss and love U.

At least you can't mistakenly buy these. I thought all flavors of Gatorade were drinkable so I bought a green one at 7-11 and it was Cucumber flavor. ill

If anyone has access to Yucca in their local (ethnic) supermarket...you can make tasty & "exotic" chips with a piece of Yucca and a mandolin slicer.

(peeled) and sliced thin in a mandoline slicer

...and fried in hot oil.

Easy & quick.

Makes tasty chips that even finicky kids (such as mine) will enjoy.

Adorecream

Here in NZ you are spoiled for choice. My absolute favourite is Heartland, locally made in the South Island and free of additives. They are about $2.50 a packet, but worth it.

[img:$uid]http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j352/Princette76/greenonion.jpg[/img:$uid]

Also pretty good are Bluebird, who are the biggest company here, but rely on artificial flavours more and are much saltier.

[img:$uid]http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j352/Princette76/bb_chips.jpg[/img:$uid]

Eta re the other company, and their products are generally for the budget market (The spuds range is always like a $1.50 or less in the supermarket). Taste is fake and cheap and usually nutty as they process nuts. Spuds here are their budget range and they are terrible.

[img:$uid]http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j352/Princette76/9-11-09ChipsReadySalted.jpg[/img:$uid]

But Eta's kettle chips and skof range is better, I love the kettle chips and munchoes.

All chips here are sold in 150 gram (5 oz) bags as they are worried about obesity concerns, as most brands have between 30 and 40% fat in them and 10% is saturated fat. I am addicted to them myself, a pack a day mainly as they are cheap and tasty.

We also have a lot of budget brands like Pams and Signature range, which again are fatty and include a lot of flabours and anti caking agent.

You can also buy slims chips, gourmet ones, Pringles (Made in Belgium or USA) and Australian made Red Rock deli chips as well.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'll have to keep my eyes opened, I see Goya products a lot. The Plantain chips should be easy to find too, I don't know if I'll like them though, I haven't aquired the taste for plantains yet.

[img:$uid]http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w9/Purplemistress/yum.jpg[/img:$uid]

are addictive like a mug! If I ever eat a whole bag of chips, they are the very little 25 cent bags because I usually can't bring myself to eat all of those chips at once. These on the other hand....I can eat 2 99cent bags of these in 1 sitting, that's how good they are. The perfect blend of seasonings, right amount of sweet, right amount of heat AND barbecue. These chips are divine. Unfortutanely the damn supermarket has teased me, got me hooked on these chips and when they were all out, never got anymore and no one else sells them over here. cry

I found them at a gas station and got 2 bags which I devoured. Amazing taste, thanks for the heads up.

Now I have to go back to the gas station and get some more. biggrin

I just had some roasted mixed vegetable chips which had zucchini, carrots, beets, green beans, taro & plantains slices, lightly salted. I think I just found a new snack.
