My theory . . .

The Princeton Offense would guarantee Kobe's touches don't go down. Part of him still doesn't wanna share the basketball.

The P.O. worked in SAC for a while, but that's because 1) they had the architect Pete Carill on the Kings' staff, and 2) they only had one bona fide superstar. They've got the PG, PF, and C to run it. But LA's been in the business of Keeping Kobe Happy for nearly 20 years. It's a hard habit to break.

This begins and ends with Kobe.

End of C-O-N-spiracy rant.

What the hell has Princeton won with the offense? N O T H I N G.

It's Princeton! lol

(But yeah, no one's won a title with that offense.)

Why adopt something that has never been successful related 2 your goal which is winning?

I don't get it.

Knicks are 1-0 - break out the champagne! Nice opening night win. Good ball movement and defense.

James Harden......damn. Think he's trying to prove a point?

I know the Lakers are off to a bad start, but this is either a sign of panicking too soon or realizing they made a mistake about a year too late with regard to the coaching position. I would have at least waited till the end of this month to evaluate Mike Browm. If Miami had freaked out like this last year the way the Lakers did now, Eric Spoelstra would have been fired two weeks into last season instead of coaching them into an NBA title.

Everything just drops in the Lakers lap.

Stern should veto this for Basketball reasons.

6-0! As a long time Knicks fan, I'm at a loss for words. Carmelo had what, seven defensive rebounds??? He's really stepped up his game, and Jason Kidd has been unbelievable. These cats have bought into Woodson's program, and I'm loving it.

Knicks are 8-1 - somebody pinch me!

For the first time in 12 years, James Dolan did something right (I didn't count hiring Donnie Walsh - he was forced on Dolan by Stern). Mike Woodson is the right fit for this team, and he gets along with his star player.

I criticised Grunwald for acquiring these old cats, but it's working so far.

I have to go to the Rockets v. Spurs game tonight. We got invited by a friend of my wife's. This friend lives in San Antonio, and is bringing her new boyfriend for us to meet. So they thought a Rockets v. Spurs game would be the way to do that.

ON THE SAME NIGHT THE TEXANS PLAY THE PATRIOTS ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

Sigh. I'm doing the polite thing, and going to the basketball game. We'd better be sitting in some dang good seats!

Well my friends - it pays to always do the polite thing!

Our friends met us at the Red & White Bistro inside the Toyota Center, and the new boyfriend is a GREAT guy. We had an awesome dinner, which he would not let me buy. During the dinner, a fellow walked up who was a friend of the new boyfriend's. I thought, "Wow! This guy knows people in Houston? He's cool!"

How cool? His friend wasn't actually a friend - it was his cousin's husband. And he is the CEO of the Houston Rockets! He'd given us the tickets we were to use last night. We had a nice little chat and then he left. I joked about how his cousin-in-law would be rooting for the Spurs, but we would be rooting for the Rockets.

Ten minutes later, he came back. He told me, "Since you're such a great Rocket fan, here's some better seats. Enjoy the game". He gave me four tickets.

They were second row floor seats! Right across from the Rockets' bench! Best seats I've ever had at a Rockets game!

Me and Richard (the boyfriend) took the original four tickets - which were 6th row, right behind the basket - and gave them to a couple dads with small kids sitting way up in the rafters. Those boys had the biggest smiles you've ever seen!

And what a game! The Rockets lost in overtime but played great. Jeremy Lin scored 38 points - probably in part because James Hardin wasn't playing. But it was a shootout. The score at the end of regulation was 120 - 120.

To top it off, that football game I missed? The Texans got CREAMED. It was over in the first quarter. Too bad for the Texans, but if there was ever a game to miss it was that one.

Apparently the Rockets and Linsanity put it to the Knicks in New York last night. That's what I've heard.

I would have watched it but you can't watch the Houston Rockets on TV in most of Houston.

Only some cable carriers show Rockets games in Houston?

Knicks have been blown out 2 out of the last 3 home games and were out-physicaled by the Bulls. I don't like seeing the head coach and star player losing their cool - what's going to happen if these teams meet in the playoffs? Woody has to figure out how to solve Thibodeau's defense.

Thunder blew it by being cheap with Harden. They should of use the amnesty on Perkins. He stinks.Kevin Martin is nice, but he ain't James Harden. It's gonna cost them in the playoffs.Harden choked in the finals, but he's a big time player and he'll come through next time.it's in his DNA.

When you have a chance for the brass ring. You go for it.Keeping Harden, along with Ibaka's much improved game and the great Durant. They would of gotten the ring this year.
