If she in fact "tricked" him like that into marrying her, okay that could be grounds for divorce. But to "win" such a ridiculous amount of money when he hasn't suffered any true damage, except done so by insulting and damaging his daughter for life? Hell no, the girl should get ALL that money but even that would never "pay" for HER damages.

I agree with you. BUT the court/judge who awarded the settlement must have also agreed that the baby was incredibly ugly, too. What does that say about that country's moral character? Damn shame. And who's to say that the child doesn't have some of the husband's family characteristics? Hell, maybe his mama was a troll. That's what his wife should have shouted at the sentencing, "YO MAMA!" flipped off

I don't know how I feel about this. razz But I really do think that this does qualify as some of marriage fraud. She should have at least told him about her plastic surgery. Kind of like telling someone about any genetic medical history. I just don't think he should have sued her. Now his poor child must feel guilty, ugly and rejected.

Spelling edit.

[Edited 10/29/12 21:08pm]

What have looks to do with your genetic medical history? If she had an illness which could possibly effect her children too I see your point. But looks?

What's next? handing over the pictures of you as a kid to your future partner so he can approve of it?

I am not saying that what he did it's okay but I am saying she should have told him. lol She looks like a completely different person and yes, her original self was not very attractive. Obviously someone agreed with him about feeling "deceived." I think he is an ass for having sued her and he's obviously a very superficial man, but I can also see why he feels duped.

Oh and just to be clear ugly people deserve love too. razz

falloff The comments on this thread have me laughing soo hard that I'm crying and can't breath. lol

This is a sad case but really only because a child is involved. A part of me wishes that more men would sue women who lie about being cosmetically enhanced because it is fraudulent just like lying about your age is. But, if that shit started happening Playboy magazine would be bankrupt and some of these 'trophy wives' would be totally screwed. She didn't look that bad...but she damn sure didn't look as good as she does now. Her plastic surgeon was worth every single penny because that man obviously has some magical hands...just sayin.

I don't think it is anyone's business what a woman does to or with her body unless she's selling booty. Why should she have to tell anyone, other than her physicians, about cosmetic surgery? Not a damn body's business. And being pretty or handsome does not guarantee couples will have a beautiful child. I've seen some pretty folk have the ugliest little trolls you'd ever want to see and two homely, ugly mofoes can produce a Hallmark baby. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Years ago a girl in my office got pregnant. She was obese and not at all attractive. She paid the guy to marry her, and he wasn't all that easy to look at either. When the baby was born, a girl, she was the most beautiful infant I had ever seen. She looked like a doll, I mean a beautiful doll. I was stunned by the child's beauty and marveled at how two homely folk could have such a beautiful child.

I think she owes him that much to tell him or else the man would be suspicious about the paternity of the child(ren), especially if it doesn't look like him or her.

She should have told him and yes, it is his business. Looks are obviously very important to him and anything that would affect his child's appearance would be his business as well. She obviously felt similarly-- why else have the surgery?-- and hoped she could put her "ugly" past behind her. falloff I won't judge him for feeling how he does. I don't know how I'd react if I were in his shoes and I could see how he'd initially question the paternity. However, he needs to suck it up and love his child regardless.

The moral of the story: be forthcoming about important things in your past because they always come back to bite you in the ass.

That's soo sad she had to pay some guy to marry her so that she could be a mom. She should have just gone to the sperm bank and saved some money in the long run...weddings are super expensive nowadays.

lol I've noticed that physically unattractive people do seem to make beautiful kids. Guess that's just some higher power trying to keep humans from putting so much importance on physcial beauty. I've also noticed that when two beautiful people have children, they are often just average looking until they get to a certain age and then it's up in the air. Now, when a gorgeous person and a unattractive person have kids, you get what is seen almost everyday in the world of celebrity offspring. I'm sorry but Billy Joel and Claudia Scheiffer's daughter and Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter are prime examples of this. Neither one of those girls got their mother's looks in the end. Sure, they got some of their features but they both look more like their daddies than anything. They aren't ugly but they damn sure aren't physically beautiful like their moms. Just being honest.

Personally, I think working for Playboy and being a 'Trophy Wife' are forms of selling booty. These women use these 'bought assets' to garner money to live off of. To me (let me emphasize that this is totally my personal opinion), they are all just levels of prostituting yourself out to gain financial security...again, this is JMHO. There are many women in this world who have successful careers without having to get any plastic surgery. If some women want to take the easy route to financial stability by getting bigger boobs and facelifts than more power to them; but, if they are hoping to find love by doing this than they should definitely be honest with the guy when he drops to one knee and puts a ring on her finger. I always thought that honesty was a huge factor in having a successful marriage but maybe I'm incorrect on that ideology. confuse

In this whole fiasco, I don't feel sorry for either parent. I think they're both assholes. The only one I feel sorry for is that baby. She got the short-end of the stick by being cursed with a douchebag of a father and a deceitful mother. The biggest thing these two people have in common besides their daughter is they are both overly superficial...him with putting so much importance on his wife's physical beauty and her with feeling that her old face wasn't good enough to be loved as much as her new physically beautiful one. There is an old saying that goes, 'Beauty is only skin deep; but ugly is to the bone'. A beautiful face with an exceptional body does not always equal a beautiful heart with an exceptional personality. All just my twocents

I've dated a guy who was eager to have his own family. He only wanted to date girls with dark hair, because he hated his own redhead and did not want a child to look like him.

I did not pass his scrupulous motherhood test (eventhough I have brown hair).

I felt bad that he hated his own looks so badly. I loved him and therefor loved his looks. If he could love himself, he opens up the road to be together with someone based on love, in stead of his genetic obsession.

I don't understand the obsession with beauty. Not every beautiful person is happy and not every ugly person is unhappy. That depends on how you cope with life, not how beautiful you are.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Like I said before, it's a crap shoot what a child will look like. So if the kid had been born beautiful, he would not have been the wiser? Maybe there's an ugly gene in him that surfaced in his baby.

I wonder if he would have still married her if she had told him about the surgery? Afterall, he did say he "married her out of love." What? Love of her beauty? Her character had nothing to do with it? So I guess she was supposed to say, "I need to tell you that I used to be ugly; so if we have any ugly kids, don't tell me I didn't warn you."

Jian Feng claimed that his wife did not tell him about her plastic surgery before they married
Jian Feng claimed that his wife did not tell him about her plastic surgery before they married

A Chinese wife has been sued by her husband for giving birth to what he calls an 'incredibly ugly' child.

Jian Feng from northern China filed a suit against his wife and was awarded $120,000 (£75,000) in a court settlement.

Jian argued that his wife tricked him into the marriage by undergoing plastic surgery to make her beautiful. He said he realised this only when she gave birth to their daughter.

"I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me," Jian said.

The truth of the matter surfaced only when Jian went on to accuse his wife of cheating, as the child looked like neither of its parents.

At that point, the wife admitted to having undergone cosmetic surgery worth £62,000 which had modified her appearance considerably. Jian was not aware of the surgery before their marriage, his wife conceded.

Jian was also granted a divorce, saying the woman married him under false pretences.

I bet he's lucky to have either version of this lady
