Why join a gym? The playground workout

This is cool...

http://screen.yahoo.com/m...19075.html

Supposedly any move that you can do in the gym can be performed in a park playground. These dudes can do some pretty wild things using basic playground equipment. The Yahoo article/video above is good for us mere mortals.

The Youtube vids below show some super-cool moves for the supermen/women out there...

The one-handed pullups in the 2nd vid blows my mind!!!

I dabbled with this last summer (2011) with a friend from work who's really into it [he was trying to be able to do the "human flag"]. In the few months that I went with him I managed to get to the point where I was able do three whole unassisted pullups. Then this summer we were supposed to resume, but it never happened. Now I'm back to zero unassisted.

confused

So next summer we're supposed to get back on track...his goal is the flag, mine is TEN unassisted pullups.

So whaddaya think guys/gals? Meet me at the playground???

Nah, I like the gym.

Especially since I benched a new record weight today - 311 pounds!

Of course, you can do actually most excersises with dumbells only, at your home.

But i always needed a place to go, where other people work out too. Always love the vibe of a gym.

I'm not sure how safe it is for a grown man to start hanging out at the playground without kids...

especially running around without a shirt. I think other people may get the wrong idea.

In all honesty, anyone doing THOSE type of moves is going to get a crowd of kids (and adults) "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing". nod

Get some creepy old dude just hanging around the playground...yeah, suspicious. cop

In my neighborhood there are some pull up bars and parallel bars in a park, and they are directly across the street from the gym.

And the guys in the park are WAY bigger than anyone coming out of the gym. lol

Now, the guys in the park may not have jobs, and do nothing but work out all day, but still...
