Apple and many consumer products keep rolling out these products every 6 months and they contain in some case less than 5% anything new or useful because they know people will line up 2 purchase this stuff. If u boght one 6 months ago........do u really need a new one when u are probably using less than 20% of the capability of the one u already OWN?

If u can't understand that......keep wasting your loot.

No money out of my pocket. U keep driving the stock price of Apple shares up........which actually puts money in my pocket.

[Edited 10/25/12 10:41am]

Who said I was? lol

Who also said that my ipods are not at capacity?

You sure are introducing a lot of facts not in evidence. And, at the end of the day, it's their money. A diamond encrusted Prince symbol is a waste of money to a bunch of folks.

Ok...........now what?

Not my business and not my concern...but the whole point of being here is to offer our OPINIONS, no? Isn't that the whole point of a thread? No one's here stating FACTS for the most part, it's usually all about opinions.

...and an Orger that keeps his/her opinion to him/herself is a rare creature indeed.

That's very true, that why I said what I said.

My pork chop comment was in relation to the eye phone. lol

Eye see it! Eye buy it! lol I'll admit the Ipad tablet is pretty cool but if i was

to get one i would'nt be the technology geek to get another version every 2 years

Apple decides to manufacture a new one. Apple products are pricey. I'm getting a

tablet for Christmas but as it stands now i'm leaning towards the Nexus. Cheaper and

can do a lot of the same things the IPad does. I will never ever buy an IPhone.

phunkdaddy.... I really don't care. razz iPhone, iPod, iTouch, iSee you, it doesn't matter I'm never allowing you to live that statement down. lol

Seriously.

I'm not a phone person, I never have been and unfortunately technology has made it so that people think they should be able to reach out and touch whenever, I think not. My phone doesn't stay on 24/7 I shut if off, email/text me. I am a geek, technology person, always have been and always will be. Before computers and such it was stereo equipment. Really most aspect of music has moved over to the computer/tablet. The good thing is, there's something for everyone at their price point for whatever reason why they choose one thing and not another. Let me know what you get, I'm curious about the Nexus.

Pretty much whatever your interests are their's slew apps/devices-an "eco system"-built around it to help you create or enhance whatever your into. The damn thing is life a Swiss Army Knife and pretty much master all skills. I think iPad leads their competitors in storage capacity. I'm not sure all that Android eco system has to offer but I've found myself needing or wanting to do something and assuming an app will be available and more often than not there is. For example: I needed a remote control app last week that would allow me to control my PC away from the desktop when I was recording, found "Remote Desktop".

There's enough anti-iPad sentiment on this thread alone to keep Windows alive & well.

Apple and Microsoft target audiences were always different; Apple was geared towards the consumer while Microsoft hitch its horse to the "enterprise." Both have their pros and cons, I chuckle at the passionate discourse people take to defend or bash the other. Of course there's always Linux, which treated like a red-head step child.

How do you even BUY a machine with Linux? I assume it's for do-it-yourself'ers?

You don't, you can run in it "live"... which means you can work within Linux without changing your computers OS/IOS, you can run independently, or along side an OS or IOS in its own partition on your HDD. If you run it "live" than you can't save your settings. Most people run live to see what works and/or what doesn't work. You can burn distro to a CD for free off the web or purchase a CD off eBay.

You can run Linux on whatever existing computer you own. A lot of people turn to Linux when the specs of their Mac or PC can't be upgraded. It's free, and the Distors are updated every 6 months. The only major issue is because the hardware isn't built to naturally accommodate Linux, you have to finagle around to make it work, more often than not. Which means you may required to write code in the command line. In years past you had to be a little geeky to work within the Linux interface. But Ubuntu and Linux Mint change all of that, for the most part they run on preexisting hardware without too much finagling.. and they have the look and feel of PC/IOS interface.

This is what turns 98.4003 % percent off the world is turned off, I've never had a Linux Distro that work out of the box, this isn't plugg and play. Some Linux Distro's are begining to build their on hardware; Linux Mint came out with their version of Apple mini this year called the, MintBox.

The Nexus 7 smokes the iPad Mini.

Comparison chart:

If you don't like charts, the Nexus 7 has twice the RAM, a quad-core processor compared to the dual core in the iPad Mini, a much better screen resolution, and it has NFC in it, which kicks ass! (My girlfriend and I both have N7's, and the NFC functionality means we can literally tap one against the other to share apps, websites, links, etc).

Also, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is just a much better operating system than iOS 6 cool

Yeah, sounds like alot of work for our "no thought process required" society.
