Ok ppl ...i have bought me a bleaching kit and a nice bottle of blood red dye...and so i want to use it on me...and so im freaking out cuz i havent done this shit b-4 ...and so i have really long black hair...and so i wanna dye the tips ya know bleach it and put the red in...and mayb some red streaks too...but i dont wanna do it wrong...ppl told me u have to use foil and fold it up and stuff and im like god...im crazy ...and so if u ppl know and have done this b-4 plz tell me how...

Return the products and go see a professional colorist. If you can't pay them, I suggest you still return the products... I don't recommend anyone doing a home bleach job.

No matter how little you plan to do, esp with long hair.

Try the dye but without the bleach. I've got really black hair too and what I do is apply the hair dye for abit longer than it says on the pack. And then repeat the process a week later. You won't get as a dramatic result as you would by bleaching it, but you will get some colour.
The result will also depend on what type of dye you've got; permenant, semi-permenant etc...

I have another idea... shave your head, Sinead O'Connor style!

bleach the ends with foil, then dye it!
if it goes bad, you only lost an inch or so.
But i would do a strand test first, to see how your hair takes the bleaching. so cut off a peice of your hair and try it!

hmmm...i am asian thats y my hair is bad ass black... ...but u know...i do have a feeling that i will still b trying out the bleach ...i dont know ... im still a freaking stubborn little girl who wont learn ...well if anything i'll snip off the ends if it goes bad...then i will so never do it again...and i will be laughed at and turn my head down as i walk through the hall of ppl who said for me not to do it again......
