Has anyone tried Clinique Dark Spot Corrector?

And did it work?

I have a very basic skin routine - soap and water and Ponds moisturizer so I very unfamiliar with these miracle in a bottle type products, but I have a few dark spots (age spots?) that I really find annoying and would like to minimize their appearance if possible.

Anyone have any luck with this kinda thing?

I just did the 4 week challenge with the Garnier Dark Spot Corrector. Didn't do a fucking thing nutty

This is why they ad called cosmetics, because if they actually did ANYTHING they would be a drug lol

Don't these things just mask it like the cover up we used to use for zits?

I haven't tried Clinique. I use Neutrogena. I was having trouble with break-outs...in my 40's...stupid. neutral

So I gave this a try.

The nice, added bonus was that it made my skin look FANTASTIC!! It lightened the dark spots and seriously my skin glows.

It does advise that it can be too harsh for some skin, but I've never had a problem with it.

I'm firmly planted in denial

No it's not like a foundation. It's basically a moisturizer with magical ingredients like (in Garniers case, vitamin C)

I used one once by Aveeno because it was also a sunscreen.

It hurt my eyes really badly, and that was when I noticed that the "evening" qualities that it gave your skin were thanks to the glitter in it.

Have you tried Tea Tree, Erin?

I use Tea Tree facial wash and it's always kept the blemishes and monthly break outs to a minimum. If you don't have an allergy, it might be worth a shot. shrug

I have been using a blend of 100% frankincense essential oil & castor oil

( organic if possible ! )

I dab a small amount on at night right before bed and I have noticed a nice lightening in the one dark spot I have below my eye socket ...

I don't get break outs or have any other issues with my skin, just have a few freckles/sun/age spots that I'd like to make less visible.

Does it work for that?

It worked for me. I used to have a couple of dark spots (from acne), and then eventually subsided from everyday use.

However, if you really want something to work, I suggest hydroquinone cream (or Ultraquin as it's known up in Canada). It is prescription, so I would suggest going and asking your doctor to see if you could try it. Hydroquinine actually reduced the amount of melanin in the skin, and is used for freckles, age spots and the like.

I had a very bad allergic reaction once that left a rather large dark spot on my chest. This cream actually helped lighten it and now it's barely visible, if at all.

Hope that helps. smile
