Yowwwww!!!!!
Now, how in the world did Benny shoot everybody EXCEPT Gyp? Lawd have mercy. Even the paperboy, but not Gyp's crazy ass.
Then Nucky got caught!!! Rothstein is right, Nuck's slipping by chasing that broad around.
So are Van Alden and the wife pre-Bonnie & Clyde?
Update: So apparently, Van Alden needs to hide the body. Wow. Well as we all know, if won't be done for free.
Forgot about Gillian's denial of Jimmy's death. Urgh. She's spend up all the money and is still acting like Jimmy is alive? Yeah okay.
For the life of me, I'm wishing that Nucky let's that side girl go. It's making him soft. [Edited 10/15/12 7:10am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

What a crazy episode. You don't strong-arm Eddie Cantor! Nucky has hit a new low--all because of Billie.
If Gyp was crazy before, he will be insane now after this attempted hit on him. I see him trying to take everyone down. Nucky had better hire Richard too for protection.
I knew Eli still had some value.

I'm glad you still had some faith in Eli because I sure had given up on him.
You hit the nail right on the head...got a crazy, hot headed, unpredictable gangster on your tail? Enter Richard Harrow at your service.
Eddie had me rolling...."aren't you Milky"? [Edited 10/15/12 8:48am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Nucky might have left alone the musical with Billie when it failed, but I know once she told him how her father said she'd be nothing, that reminded Nucky of his own father and he decided right there he was not going to let him win. So he leaned on poor Eddie Cantor and now Billie's overhauled musical will be a big success.

I've seen his goods before. He's whipped it out in some of his other roles before. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

At the beginning of the show, when they cut away from Nucky and Arnold's convo to just outside the door, the question for me was, "what else are they saying"? When the botched hit on Gyp went down, I THINK the answer was clear. It was agreed that they'd arranged to "hit" Gyp and free up the route.
Gyp's takeover of the route has been perhaps the best power move of the whole series.
Chalky's audition of the actor was priceless.
For all of the praise heaped on Buscemi's portrayal of Thompson, Michael Shannon simply dominates the show with his portrayal of Van Alden. And his wife, my goodness, she's always full of surprises.
Margaret's storyline is simply going nowhere.
I want to see more of Capone, Lanky, and of course, Richard. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

And if anyone still wasn't sure, the message about the hit that Rothstein sent to Nucky while he was at the theatre confirmed it.

Well I think we will actually be seeing more of Richard because, who else would Nucky call on for protecting himself and his family from the unpredictable Gyp? As for Capone and Lansky, I'm more interested in starting to see their independent rises to power. I kind of sense they are starting with Luciano first. LanSky, sorry. How could I forget.
That's precisely what I want to see with Capone and Lansky. S3 is sharpening Lansky's edge this season AND smoothing some of Luciano's. Capone has been explosive this year.
I just hope I don't have to wait till Thanksgiving to see Richard's arc expand in S3.

Yeah that whole thing with that Italian boss Luciano met with last week who was trying to get in his head about Rothstein and Lansky eventually turning on him because they "aren't his kind" truly rung some bells for Luciano. You can tell he's starting to change already with that in mind. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
