I was surprised to hear that she learned Italian just for her starring role in the film I Am Love--and learned to speak it with a Russian accent. She did not say one word in English in the movie. Incredible.

I was really impressed with Rooney Mara's performance in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. According to Wiki, both she and Daniel Craig will reprise their roles in the two sequels, 'The Girl who Played with Fire' and 'The Girl who Kicked the Hornets' Nest'. Looking forward to them.

I was also...I watched the swedish versions of all 3 and I actually liked Rooney better than Noomi Rapace in the part. Most of the time I like the foreign films better but the American version of this one was much better imo. I can't wait for the next 2. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Christian Bale comes to mind. He was 12 in "Empire of the Sun," and has had solid & excellent performances ever since.

Wow. I didn't know that.
Tilda is absolutely incredible. I've loved that woman since Orlando. [Edited 10/22/12 19:57pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I agree on both of these fine actors. they have such a range. I love their quirky comedy and they blow me away in the dramatic roles. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

I just rewatched Lost in Translation. I went in with a show-me attitude the first time and thought it was overrated. I was wrong. Very good (as far as these made-up things go) and I thought she was excellent (as was Murray - and it pains me to say that, 'cause he gets on my tits).

DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Hanks, and Don Cheadle are more than hype. A few of my favorites-- Jack Nicholson, Edward Norton, and Al Pacino-- may play the same guy/themselves in every role but I still love their movies.

I am very much enjoying Emily Blunt, she seems to be flavour of the moment, but I really like her so far in Sunshine Cleaning, Looper, Salmon Fishin in the Yemen I'm the mistake you wanna make

I dug her in Looper. Very different from what I used to seeing her do.
