Oh hell yes. Did you see him in Traitor? love

He was excellent.

He also did a great job of portraying the DJ Petey Green and he was unforgettable in Hotel Rwanda.

Today? I would have to say Gary Oldman as to versatility. Never the same...

And Don Cheadle always amazes me.

Female?I'll have to think about that one.

I loveth him! faint He's in the new movie "Flight" starring Denzel. His role as Mouse in "Devil In a Blue Dress" was my introduction to him.

Fassbender is certainly more than just hype. I've liked him in one movie after another but it wasn't until he played an android that I was completely enchanted by him. he'll be one of the greats.

Vincent Cassel is not my favorite actor because I think he is smoking hot but because I think he has amazing range. I agree about DDL but I truly do not get the accolades plied on Meryl Streep.

I think she is very good - but not great. I think the thing with her is...a lot of people mistake an ability to do a believable accent as proof of acting ability. They aren't really the same thing.

There's nothing wrong with you. I know a lot of people who don't think she's as stellar as some people think. I thought she was at her best in Sophie's Choice, but that was as much because of Kevin Kline and Peter MacNicol as because of her work.

Speaking of which, I think Kevin Kline is underrated.

Yeah, Kevin Kline is pretty wonderful. He's got a way of easing into a role that is so subtle yet effective.

I disagree about Meryl, though. She's amazing...although she definitely lost a lot of points with me for doing that horrible Nancy Meyers movie. biggrin

One of my absolute feel good movies. I love that movie, and I love her in it. I don´t care what people think of that movie, I just LOVE that movie and re-watch it again and again.

Did I mention that I really, really like that movie?

I've seen every Scarlett Johansson movie and I agree with Genesia. She's best in movies that don't require much from her--like Lost in Translation. She was also good in A View from the Bridge, but I have not been impressed with anything else.

I´m not exactly a big Gary Oldman fan but I think he´s one of the most versatile actors I´ve ever seen.

Tim Roth is also very underrated, though not really very versatile but still a great actor.

Then there are some who really surprise me because I never expected them to be that good when you consider how they started out....for instance Mark Wahlberg. Corny as he used to be in the early 90s, I really like him as an actor.

Speaking of musicians-turned-to-actors.....Jennifer Lopez should´ve stuck with acting. Not that she´s a talented actress but I enjoyed her in some of her movies ( like U-Turn with Sean Penn and Nick Nolte), and no matter how bad her acting skills are, she´s still better on the silver screen than she is in the studio or on a CD.

Sylvester Stallone is one of those guys who is capable of so much more but he´s been pidgeonholed for the rest of his life now. I really liked him in Copland and Paradise Alley and F.I.S.T and I think he´s made some very stupid choices in his career but he´s much more than those silly roles he´s chosen in the past two decades. Too bad his face muscles are impaired, and on top of that he´s botoxed to the max...but he had mad potential when he first started out.

She is just terrific. I've known about her for years, but wasn't really blown away until I saw her in Michael Clayton. She was most recently great in Moonrise Kingdom. I love what Bill Murray said about her:

She's tall. She's Scottish. She's pretty. She can do whatever she likes.
