Do you consider feet to be dirty and/or impure? I can't stand touching other people's feet (and I will tend to avoid touching mine as well except for washing them or cut the nails) and I get mad if someone touches me with their foot (unless they touch my own foot, in which case I don't really mind).
Most Asian countries consider feet to be impure and dirty. In most of South-East Asia it is rude to point your feet at someone. in India it is a major offense to touch someone with your feet and you should only wash them AFTER you've washed the rest of your body (so you hands won't touch them first and another part next). It seems that many Chinese people will be disgusted at the sight of someone touching their own feet.
On the other hand, in Cambodia they do precisely this: they touch their own feet and toes like maniacs, all the time, in front other people, in the street, to an extent where it's totally delirious because there is no point in doing it even if you don't mind touching feet, and I get disgusted seeing them do this every day

My students do it all the time as well and they have to go wash their hands every time I catch them doing it in the classroom.
No, you're not.
I'm not one of those people who gets all crazy and weird about feet as long as they're clean.
But we've had plenty of feet-related threads here in GD, and there are lots of Orgers who are completely and irrationally disgusted by feet.

Feet aren't inherently dirty. They can become dirty, sure. But if you put on fresh, clean socks after bathing they're WAY cleaner than anyone's hands and we shakes hands and high-five people with abandon.
I don't get people who are afraid of feet, but then, we all have our hangups. |

uncared for feet can be plenty nasty. if you let that buildup of callous/dead skin material get overgrown on the bottoms of your feet, they'll get all cheesy and stinky and gross. that's how fungus infections get started. scrub that buildup off and you won't have thosemnasty thick pads all cracked and blistery down there. likewise, you have to care for your toenails almost as though they were fingernails. imo, when folks take care of their feet there's nothing gross or yucky. sucking on toes can be very erotic | |

I LOVE FEET! especially asian feet
But feet can get beyond disgusting
Flip-Flops are so iffy.. cause as Genesia said if you go to the bathroom or elsewhere all kinds of shit can get on them.

Feet sweat.
People wear socks/slippers/shoes and the sweat collects building up bacteria.
hands sweat too, but people do not usually keep their hands covered up so the sweat usually evaporates, but if it doesn't the clammy hands are never nice to touch.
So I see feet as being clammy for the most part and full of bactria unless the feet are freshly washed. | |

I don't think any part of the body is impure, but i do think certain parts are more dirty than others - feet,vagina/penis,butt,belly button,armpits,hands,mouth,nose,eyes,ears. I think most people's feet are pretty ugly & i've never seen a man with nice feet. I spend alot of time grooming my feet, i always have,my mum said her mother was the same. My ex was into my feet,took me a while to get used to it...have to admit it was enjoyable! Which was a revelation 2 me!
