Would the same people going "lucky boy" to a 17-year-old male would do the same to a 17-year-old girl if she got with a teacher and going "lucky girl, I wished I had a teacher to holler at me"?

I probably already know the answer. I guess what I'm really asking is why do people think that the BOY "just wanted some sex" but if a girl gets into a sexual relationship with a male teacher, the teacher is evil.

It shouldn't matter if they were attractive or not. There's some not-so-attractive female teachers that get involved with underage boys. Looks shouldn't mean a blip when someone has sex with an underage person. That's all I was saying. All I can comment on is myself. And I recall at the age of 17, being enamoured with a couple of teachers! I'd have been stoked to get with one of them...

My first instinct is to treat them differently...yes I know it's chauvanistic, but my boys are my little dudes and my daughter is my princess...if my boys get lucky at 17 with a piece that looks like that, they're getting a car. If my daughter gets banged by a teacher, even if he looks like a model, she's getting sent to my uncle's farm in Honduras and dude's getting his face rearranged. With a machete.

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS...when this story first came out I argued that it's really all about maturity. At 17 I was still reading comic books (I was a late bloomer). At 17 my buddy had already had about a dozen partners (started at 12), put together a car with his own hands, and even owned a business. Especially today, age isn't the end-all, be-all to this sort of thing.

I doubt dude in this case was any more mature than we were at those ages to be honest. But I guess it depends. I wouldn't be surprised if there were stories of young men who became fathers at young ages and actually took care of their responsibilities. I'm sure there were a lot of them back in the day compared to now though your friend is an exception.

That sort of thing is frowned upon nowadays, but was commonplace back then. Has humanity "changed" since then? No, we're still the same beings, it's just our mindset that has changed.

In this particular case, we're not even talking about a 17 year old assuming the role of being a father, we're simply discussing him getting laid by an older woman.
