While I will agree you 110% that a couple comments are highly inappropriate, in my opinion, the bulk of people's reactions here are a response to posts chock full of insults asserting that if their views are not in alignment with with that of the OP, their personal sexual choices make them lower life forms over which the OP possesses supreme ominiscience. If there was ever a time to insert a GTFOOHWTHBS, then I would say that THAT would be it . However, I do feel it's important to stress yet again, that the frustration (in my eyes, & I think in the eyes of a few people here) was never about the message or theme the OP wanted to discuss. This really is at it's core about a jacked up delivery, and subsequent digs at people bordering on baiting. Not more or less, really...and so if we disagree on that, then cool. If you read the thread, you'll notice that the "mob" didn't pick up the pitchforks and torches until it was expressed that thinking against the OP's viewpoint represented a lack of intelligence or sexual maturity.

Actually, quite a few know me in real life... so that comment is invalid... And I said EVERYONE that KNOWS ME... not everyone knows me.. It all boils down to the attitude and calling people names and trying to make them look like total fools... that is not right in ANYONES book.. I think that is a very one dimensional statement. You morally judge every woman/girl/child in the world that is stripping in order to make a living or to stay alive.

Most strippers are victims of incest or rape. Most have psychiatric disorders and therefor easily abused by men or boyfriends who let them work in stripclubs, and take her hard earned money.

I never have been into strip clubs, they kind of bore me because it's all fake-but I love naked women. But, what doesn't get me off, may get others off. So, why do I judge someone who says for example they like heavy S&M and I don't? Am I more enlightened because of it? Probably not.

I remember HBO doing a story on a lady stripper who had an IQ of over 160, she enjoyed her customers and the job, and for her it was a passion that made her a lot of money.

I haven't gone in years to a strip club, that doesn't mean I wouldn't hang out in one with some of the ORG members here...,because they are kewl in my book.

And yes the clubs are exploiting, but so is Wallmart with their employees and the people that make their products.

My guess is that HBO made a documentary about this stripper, because she was the exception, not a representative of the majority of strippers.

And is the fact that Wallmart, H&M, Ikea etc. are also exploiting people for labor, a reason to turn your head from the misery in stripland?

Im sure alot are forced into it, but any one I have ever talked to,( I worked at a bank and they would come in to deposit their tips) were not in it for any other reason than the money... One girl had to pay for school herself so she was doing it while she worked thru college.. Another was a single mom who didnt want to live in the welfare system...

The other girl I worked with at the bank, her husband was a bouncer at the club because he was in school and they needed to make ends meet because we werent raking it in at the bank! She would tell me stories all the time... I heard the good and the bad, but in the end everyone of those girls made their own decision to work in the club...

Talking to and understanding their situations helped me to see the profession in a different light... I cant really comment on the men... But alcohol wasnt allowed in this particular club so they didnt have too many problems...
