Funniest comedians (all time)

For me it's:

1. Richard Pryor. Live on the Sunset Strip has me rolling on the floor everytime.

2. Charlie Chaplin. For "City Lights" alone but "The Gold Rush" is cool too.

3. Chris Rock. His version of Taxicab Confessions on his show was great.

Has anyone ever seen Carrot Top's show? He's not a bad prop comic. Too bad he's only known now for dialing down the center.

Eddie Murphy's "Delirious" & "Raw" are the best stand-up comedy movies.
Chris Rock's "Bring the Pain" is damn good too.

Why do so many comedians become actors and totally give up the art?

I was just thinking that. I always love to see them doing stand-up, and then I get sick of seeing them in movies and wish they would go back to doing stand-up. But of course, they'll make a LOT more money doing movies, so that's a big incentive for them I guess. shrug
