I totally feel u on that!!
In 2005, our family hosted the family reunion. We decided to go to a hotel for a banquet. It was a really nice NEW hotel in Austin, TX. We sent letters, emails, postcards and CALLED people to see if they were coming and to let them know we had to have an ACCURATE head count for the hotel. Do you know that about 10 people showed up that said they were not coming? They then got attitudes when we told them that they would have to pay an extra $10 at the door due to the hotel charging for extra meals.
It just ticks me off dealing with family. If my family has to do it again, it will be a free-for-all. Hot dogs and chips all around! **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

And don't get me started on the ones who have confirmed way back that they are coming but when it gets closer to the date, you do a common courtesy (well at least I do) to make sure hotel plans are straight and willing to help, if they need help for hotel, airport, rental car info, try to get an idea of when they arrive in town so I can greet them...then these fools talking about "well, I'm not sure if I'm going still because my money not looking right." Don't even get me started on stag dos (bucks night, batchelor parties) Dudes alone and they are even worse. Then after giving you the run around for weeks and not frontin with the cash the ones that turn up get you fucked up by 7pm and tie you to a fucking lamp post covered in paint ball brusies. (the stag, not the lamp post) If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I have a couple of friends and family who I know won't respond to RSVP's yet 8 times out of 10 they show up. I make allowances and count them as a yes. Getting hot bothered, pissed off is a waste to time and energy.

Maybe, but it's a human trait. So it's going to happen with most folks who work hard to plan events to accomodate their guests when some can't give a common courtesy to even respond when an RSVP is requested. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I wholeheartedly agree but I've learned to pick my battles with people in my life.
