Boardwalk Empire, Season 3 premiere: "Resolution"

excited In less than two hours (eastern time), the season 3 premiere of HBO's Boardwalk Empire will air!!!

Hopefully questions will be answered. Will Nucky and Margaret's marriage work out? What's going to happen with Agent Van Alden? With Jimmy gone, how will Gillian make Nucky's life hell? Anything new with Chalky? Will Al, Luciano and Meyer flourish over their superiors this season? Let's not forget about Richard Harrow...with his boss and friend dead, what's next for him? Will he be loyal to Gillian or go to work for Nucky? And let's not forget about the new villian for this season: Gyp Rosetti (played by Bobby Cannavale drool)

Tonight's synopsis: Nucky decides to make his own resolution for the new year; Margaret becomes interested in an expansion at the hospital; Gillian Darmody begins building a brand new business; Nelson Van Alden calls a gangster out on his threat.

So Nuck's full gangster now huh?

Urgh, Gillian still irks the fuck out of me. I hope she doesn't try to bed her grandson the way she did Jimmy when Tommy gets of age.

Van Alden a salesman? ohgoon Perfect occupation for him.Kind of fucked up how he didn't win the bonus but, hey he's a regular now right? And he got another baby too, get it Van Alden..but we know the marriage is a loveless one.

Aww, now I've loved Richard the past two seasons, but tonight, I'm really in love with him. I love that he's teaching Tommy about his REAL mother, Angela. That bitch Gillian, urgh, she needs to go.

I see Margaret has settled in as an Atlantic City socialite quite easily, however, I wonder if she's still fucking Owen? Especially given that her and Nucky are another loveless marriage. hmmm

Damn that Nucky sure knows how to throw a party! lol

Gyp (excited) is really going to be a force to be reckoned with. DAAYYYYUUUMMM he cursed all the gangster heads out present at the NYE party! Whoa! Wonder since Torrio and Al were the only ones not there if Gyp is going to align with them? hmmm Aww damn and what about Chalky?

Oh SNAP, MANNY'S DONE!!! DAYUM!!!

God, I love this show! love excited I have to watch this epi again!!!

Looks like we'll see Chalky next week. Damn that Gyp is going to be on some shit!!! nod Can't wait to see the rest of this season!

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It also irritates me how Gillian treats Richard like a dimwit. The man is much smarter than what she takes him for.

I just watched it...

I watched "Hell on Wheels" and the series finale of WEEDS (which I hated! pout)

After that, I went to bed. I didn't want to doze off in the middle of BE.

So let me get this straight:

  • Van Alden married the nanny and had another baby
  • Gillian runs a whore house, pretends she's Tommy's mother, and keeps Richard like a pet
  • Nucky's got a mistress
  • Manny is dead

confuse

Alrighty then! lol

This season is going to be crazy! Bring on Chalky! biggrin

Girl I had to DVR "Hell on Wheels" because Boardwalk was top priority for me. lol

-Yes Van Alden married the nanny and had another offspring. Guess he got what he wanted after all. It'll be interesting to see what they do with him this season.

-Yes Gillian's doing all of that and more. I think eventually she'll be collaborating to try and bring Nucky down again..I saw some previews with her and Gyp talking. I hope Richard knocks her off by the time the season is over. She has to go.

-Hell yeah and he seems to be loving it too. I read on the HBO site that actually he and Margaret became separated once he found out she signed that land over to the hospital (remember she was supposed to had signed it over back to him the end of last season). You don't mess with Nucky and his money. lol Besides, I'm pretty sure Margaret is still screwing Owen now and then.

-Oh yeah, Manny is good as dead. I knew he wouldn't last long. He cries too much. It was so ironic that Richard got to him first though...but Richard was avenging Angela's death. I love how they are pretty much focusing a storyline on him and how he's managing life without Jimmy. Gillian is going to get on his nerves after a while.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This season is gonna be soooo good. excited

I love me some Richard too mushy He's cool and calm...walking right up to dude, pointing the rifle, pulling the trigger, and just walking off like nothin just happend...Yessss!! More Richard please and I love how he's keeping Jimmy's son informed of his real parents

I can't stand Gillian either. She needs to be offed with the quickness. Running a whore house out of the old man's house and writing the checks with her son's name. mad I felt sorry for her initially because she was raped at a young age by the old man but after last season, I realize she's just a twat muffin.

Still shocked they killed Jimmy sad I really liked him.

I want to kick Nucky in the balls for being a cheater but he's Nucky so shrug

Can't wait to she Chalky because he's definitely my second favorite character in the series.

The new guy has some major balls and I can't wait to see him unfold...kind of messed up how he killed that dude in the beginning and then steals the man's dog - Ruthless.

Val Alden falloff This dude right hear keeps me amused. Hopefully he takes up that job offer and goes to the dark side. Then, he'll have pulled a almost total 180 from the guy he used to be...LOVE IT!!!!

I don't know what's going on with Margaret...one moment I love her and want to give her a big hug; the next, I want to trip her down the stairs. Wish I can say I feel sorry that Nucky is cheating on her, but she did cheat on him so...karma is a bitch ain't it.

Love this show!!!

Yes I'm hoping that they let us see more Richard this season too.

Jimmy was going on a downward spiral. Some men just aren't born to be leaders and he was one of them. He was a perfect "side" guy, but not a good leader. He could had been a good leader if he would had trusted his own judgement and not been mislead by others. To be honest, the real culprit of his downfall was his mother. He shouldn't had let her influence so many of his business decisions. I still can't believe she manipulated him into sleeping with her. barf If Jimmy would have had Richard to do the hit on Manny in the first place, then I truly believe that things would have turned out different and Jimmy would still be alive today, although, still fucked up in the head.

I can't wait to see Chalky either.

Gyp Rosetti definitely is force to be reckoned with, however, he's also very sloppy and hot headed. He's a lot like Sonny from "The Godfather". lol

Margaret is just as ruthless as Nucky is. I lost all compassion for her last season, especially with the way she treated the maids as if they were beneath her. Oh and trust and believe, she's probably still fucking Owen. Ain't no way she's sleeping in that bed night after night, ALONE.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I thought, "She can't still be guilty from that one time last season!" when he told her about the champagne. That coy look meant that she's still getting it. nod
