I'm sorry, but that's not dancing. It's impressive gymnastics, but it's not dancing.

Lol......it is called INNOVATION.

Just because u can't do it does not make it "not" dancing.

There wasn't anything innovative about that. I've seen guys popping since the '70's.

Plus, what he was doing required no music, and he wasn't on any beat that I could tell. That's why I say it isn't dancing.

I respect it, and I sure couldn't ever do that on my best day, but it's not dancing.

From what I saw, it was mostly pop locking. And I wasn't impressed with that tryout.

Well he was in the finals last night, has never been in the bottom 3 and will probably win it as Americas favourite dancer. Nigel hated on him a bit last night and said he wasnt gonna vote for him because his journey was too short

It seems to me that if two mature people like Ivy and myself watched it, and immediately identified it as techniques from 20 - 30 years ago, then whatever he calls it today is fine, but it isn't new or innovative.

In other words, if you have to explain to us what was innovative about what we just watched, then it probably isn't innovative.

Sorry, didn't mean to win. I do think it's entertaining and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

YES.

See, it may not be "dance" in the way Travolta or Joe-blow will bust out on the dance floor...but it's the 21st century and people like Martha Graham have redefined what we consider as "dance".

That was enjoyable. But can he dance on the ceiling? (Starts around 2:00.)

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Another video showing (in split screen) how they did it...
