Ive had ocular migranes as well! ive never met anyone else who got ocular migraines!! Mine dont leave me with a headache after but when its over I am very drained and feel "weird" in my head... my optrician suggested caffeine in large doses during one... havent had one in a while so im not sure if it works... I usually take 3 ibu and lay down with my eyes shut till it passes...
I also get regular migraines but usually only after something triggers it, like if im dehydrated or if i drink to much alcohol..
I dont get them as often as i used to since i make sure im properly hydrated.. ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

I dont get them as often as i used to since i make sure im properly hydrated.. I get them too but not at the same time as normal migraines! The first time I thought I was suffering a stroke! Horrible jagged lines kept flashing before my Eyes and I couldn't see! Then my mum got me a book on migraines with pictures, so I knew it was nothing, but my doctor had never heard of it and told me to go to the optician! The optician said hey are hormonal, and quite common! Sometimes I'll b talking to someone and realise I can't see their face properly, and just have to try and carry on as normal as I can see less and less of them! Hope I never get one when I'm driving!

I know that's been happening on and off this summer and fall, but nothing was wrong with me, was just told to take more iron and mom told me to stop eating big portions

Got my first one in nearly 4 weeks (of eating no processed or refined foods - except Lindt dark chocolate ) on the first day of my period. Big improvement from the 2-3 per week I've been having last 6 months Took Mersyndol for it - out like a light slept 14 hours and woke up feeling awesome. I'm the mistake you wanna make

I used to have a LOT of migraines when I was a kid/young teen (8-14 years old)
no joke, sometimes I thought it was a tumor of something, but the doctor and the specialists always said it was all about "growing up" (I also felt PAIN in the ribs and knees, almost every week)
now I only have a small migraine when I spend too many hours in front of the pc or when I sleep less than 6 hours...bad habits, I know...

Yeah I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac sometimes, and have believed stuff about tumours or cancer too sometimes, and other times, medication side effects or something I ate in public.

IT WAS NASTY!!! 3-4 minutes of pure pain, total confusion and even terror!!

Yeah. Makes you think you must have done something truly horrible in a former life.

I had one today! Ugh! 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Last time I went to the doctor with a migraine he asked me if I was taking a preventative, and I thought he meant contraception! Lol! Turns out there is medication available to prevent migrines! Hes referred me to a neurologist. My last migraine left me so dehydrated I had an abnormal heartbeat for a week and was advised to go to ED next time to be given 24 hr fluids! I HATE hospitals and can't imagine going a couple of times a month! I'll let you know what the preventer is and if it works!

had an awful one for almost 24 hours yesterday after oversleeping due to lack of sleep, didn't take tylenol or anything though the light bothered me at times, but fortunately I didn't throw up

i have had them for 30ish years. they do not make me throw up very often anymore...but they still suck. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I have at least one migraine a month, sometimes every fucking week.
A family member had them too before the first time she got pregnant, now she's all sorted.

Keep a diary, look for triggers.
Stress and lack of sleep and big causes for me.
Although I can now pre-medicate as I know the signs and haven't had one for nearly two years.
I combine 2 x Ibuprofen with either 2 x paracetomol or 2 x aspirin with caffeine way BEFORE the attack starts. Typical symptoms for me are thirsty and hungry and obviously slight headache, light sensitive.
I hated the fact that all I could do is go to bed and waste like 24 hours.

I hate that migraines can come on while I am sound asleep at night and no chance to catch the early signs before an attack.
I try to stay hydrated and fed before bed, but you really aren't supposed to be eating that late.

chocolate was my trigger for YEARS. Now I have all but cut it out as well as sugar. And I get them far less frequently,
Also i had a spastic nerve and since i cut out sugar it has stopped hurting. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I'm praying it's not chocolate for me I haven't made the connection yet. Wine or beer can give me a migraine but not always.
I'm probably one of the dehydrated/tired/stressed candidates. I cut out all sugar and refined carbs, alcohol and all processed foods. Still get migraines here and there - even though first 3.5 weeks I didn't get ANY after several weekly. The only thing I can think of is that I did eat some wheat (gluten) a couple of times in lebanese food.
I'm the mistake you wanna make
