Have you ever... Been so lonely that you felt like you were the only one in this world?
Have you ever had to fight for something that you were the only one who believed in? Have you ever tried doing/getting/achieving something that no one but yourself thought you could accomplish? What drove you to try and achieve those things? What gave you strength along the way to continue fighting for your goal?

example: My brother was in a situation no one believed he could get out of. But with support from family and friends, he had the strength to keep living and holding on until there was a way out.

How much does support from friends/family mean to you?
Could it be stronger than your own belief. Could they break your spirit?

That was something nobody ever thought would be possible. But me and my brother, and a lot of my family are dreamers. When we want something really bad, we never give up. It's just that sometimes people who don't believe in your dream put you down, tell you things that weakens you. That's when you need the support the most.

I'm in a stage where I don't know what to do anymore.
People who know me tell me to fight for what I believe, and even if they don't believe in my cause, they'll always stick by my decision and help. But then others tell me to give up, although they do wish me luck no matter what my decision is. It's the first time in my life I feel like I have hope for happiness, and I just don't want to give it up, as hard as it is to fight for it, I never want to give up. But sometimes someone comes to me and tells me to give up. Tells me it's too hard to accomplish. There are too many problems and it's too difficult. I don't believe in that. I think that with enough will power, anything can be accomplished, but the enviroment around you should be supportive. you have to surround yourself with positive vibes so you won't get weak.

I had to basically fight for everything I hold sacred. My family (basically my mom) was always telling me that I'd never amount to anything. We didn't get along and she hated that I played music and drew or anything artistic. I had to hide it all my life even to this day but I fought against her daily negativity.
I'd go out and surround myself with music just hanging around music stores and record stores. I'd drink it all in until I got good enough that I'd just hear music in my head to drown out all the negativity at home. She finally heard me play after 18 years when a friend of mine who's a street musician let me play a bit on his guitar. She said that I played well. That broke my heart because I would have liked to have heard that instead of hearing that I'd never be anything when I was younger. She still doesn't know that I learned to play four other instruments along the way. Since then, I've done studio work on a few albums and made two albums of my own, playing all the instruments, producing and engineering it as well. It sounds corny but listen to your heart. When everyone's telling you one thing or another, take it all in. But make your decisions alone in silence with only your heart speaking. To this day, my music and my decision to sincerely follow music or any art form for that matter, is the best decision I made.
