Damn, the Giants backups stepped up big time. Ramses Barden & Andre Brown played like fucking men tonight. O-line and the defense was tight. Man, if Barden can do this on a consistent basis, imagine how scary the offense will be.

Wow, another wild week in the NFL - 49ers lose, Steelers lose, Saints go 0-3, Eagles got pimp-slapped, and the Ravens win a nail-biter. Sucks what happened to Revis - I heard he might be done for the year.

Niners played a sloppy game yesterday and not surprisingly, they lost but maybe this is a good thing. They need to get their butts kicked every so often,so they don't become complacent. They'll be fired up for the next game.

Upsets happen. It's the NFL. It's ironic while everyone was handing the 49ers the NFC West and NFC title all of a sudden the Seahawks and Cardinals don't look like pushovers. The Seahawks have a defense. I picked them up on my fantasy team this past week. The Steelers defense forgot they had a game to play in the second half yesterday. They have two weeks to get over that embarrassing loss before the Eagles come to town. Don't laugh at my funk

That was some bullshit right there - touchdown my ass. Another bs call by these replacement refs. Can't wait to hear the commissioner's spin. If lame-a** Goodell cared about the integrity of the game, he'd settle this mess. He's just a glorified errand boy for the owners.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yes it was a bs call but am i glad it happened to the Pack. You bet your sweet ass i did. The regular refs make bad calls in games but this shit is a little ridiculous with the replacement refs. What i wanna know is how in the hell was the last play of the game here reviewable but the field goal in question last night between the Pats and the Ratbirds wasn't reviewable. I think the Pats got shitted too. Don't laugh at my funk

What's up with the Nike logo on the Seahawks uniforms??? Turning into NASCAR. Those Neon-Green shoes and gloves are Horrible. Like the old uniforms way better when they were back in the AFC.

The Twitterverse responds to last night's MNF debacle.
Twitter Erupts Over Packers-Seahawks Debacle
Players and press alike aren't afraid to vent frustration after Monday night's blown call. September 25, 2012
With the attention on Tuesday solely being on the spectacle that was Monday Night Football, it's probably safe to say that the NFL has lost any leverage it had in the negotiations with the regular referees. This entire weekend showed us just how much the replacements need to go back to where they came from and Monday night was just the icing on the cake.
In case Commisioner Roger Goodell isn't exactly on board with booting the replacement refs, he should read the rapid reactions that numerous players and journalist had on a travesty that will never be forgotten.
*ESPN and Grantland writer Bill Simmons (@sportsguy33): "Mike McCarthy should have run back out on the field naked from the waist down." *Green Bay Packers guard T.J. Lang (@TJLang70): "Got f***** by the refs.. Embarrassing. Thanks nfl" *ESPN columnist Michael Wilbon (@RealMikeWilbon): What robbery...what a fraud the NFL just perpatrated on the Green Bay Packers." *Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley (@JermichaelF88): Come on @NFL this s*** is getting out of Control. Caused us a DAMN game. Horrible!" *New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (@drewbrees): "I love this league and love the game of football, but tonight's debacle hurts me greatly. This is NOT the league we're supposed to represent"
*Houston Texans running back Derrick Ward (@DerrickWard32): "And that is exactly y these replacement ref's should be replaced themselves ASAP!!!"
*Arizona Cardinals defensive back Patrick Peterson (@RealPeterson21): "Com'on can we please get the real refs back. Destroying the game that we all grew to love. WOW!!!!!"
*National Post columnist Bruce Arthur: (@bruce_arthur): "Luckily, nobody gambles on these games."
*Washington Post blogger Cindy Boren (@CindyBoren): "Again...I never knew it was possible to miss another human being as much as I miss Ed Hochuli."
*Dallas Morning News reporter Clarence Hill (@clarencehilljr): "If im the real refs..i go Randy Moss on the NFL now in regotiations..#Straight cash homey"
*ESPN analyst Matthew Berry (@MatthewBerryTMR): "Did the ref have Golden Tate in fantasy? #itsnotoutofthequestion"
*Houston Texans running back Arian Foster (@AdrianFoster): "Drama. Great for business. Godspeed, Ed Hochuli."
*ESPN soccer analyst Julie Foudy (@JulieFoudy): "I may put in my resume to ref NFL games. Futbol, football. Come on, no difference right now."
*Radio host Jim Rome (@jimrome): "What a disaster. 100x worse than last Monday night."
*Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB): Well we knew this was bound to happen but on Monday night football? Come on the replacement zebras aren't fit for this zoo! Lol"
*Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe (@ChrisWarcraft): "Just saw that catch. S*** just got real for Roger and the replacements."
*Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush (@reggie_bush): Refs single handedly blew this one..."
*Golfer Bubba Watson (@bubbawatson): "All @nfl fans watch the Ryder Cup this week, we got no refs. #USA"
*Miami Heat forward LeBron James (@KingJames): "I simply just LOVE the NFL to much to see these mistakes. I'm sick like I just played for the Packers"
*Louisville Courier-Journal reporter Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_CJ): "As a person who loves football, I'm legitimately angry tonight. But imagine the gamblers. Oh, my."
*ESPN analyst Damien Woody (@damianwoody): "Was this game a Buffalo Wild Wing commercial?!?! #MNF"
*New York Post reporter Steve Serby (@NYPost_Serby): "Those refs should be forced to line up in victory formation against Greg Schiano's Buccaneers"
*ESPN columnist Gene Wojciechowski (@GenoESPN): "If this loss ends up costing Packers a playoff spot, I don't ever want to hear the league lecture players about the integrity of the NFL."
*Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (@mcuban): "I would love to see what my reaction would be if a Mavs game ended like #MNF. #Expensive #NBAtime"

Bad calls happen with the regular refs too. The replacement officials in fairness to them aren't thoroughly prepared for the speed of the NFL right now and it's showing. The regular refs should be held accountable too for holding the league hostage for a pension plan. They probably should be getting a little more than what they are getting now but to hold the league hostage for a ridiculous package for blowing your whistle a few hours each sunday for 5 1/2 months is insane. Don't laugh at my funk

Sounds like Andy Reid is putting Vick on notice. Any more sloppiness with the ball, he'll wind up on the bench.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Vick has to take better care of the ball no doubt but Reid needs to put himself on notice also, his gameplan's SUCK!! He has one of the best RB in the league, Shady Mccoy, yet he refuses to use him more, there's no excuse for only getting him four carries in the first half of that game last week, he's way too pro pass IMO.

But the whole city is putting Andy on notice...you can't have Vick throwing the ball over 40 times and you have one of the best RB's in the league...it makes no sense and everyone (including the owner) sees it...Only the national media is Kissing Andy's ass....His departure is overdue and imminent ...

Yes Vick drop stepping back to pass often with a so so offensive line increases the chance he will get hit or turn the ball over. Are we really surprised at stubborn Reid? Look how he shitted over a better qb in McNabb virtually depriving him of any talented wideouts to throw to until they got T.O Don't laugh at my funk
