Exceptions to this:

1) A wedding, where the bridal party is expected to make an entrance. The bride's parents are usually the host and hostess of a wedding, so this is not a problem.

Surely y'all know Prince wore that once. I don't know where or why, but that has to be the coolest article of fashion I've ever heard of!

I'm going to re-create it for Halloween; at least, the cape part. I'm not going to be Prince but I will have a flowing cape!
