i feel for you, but they can't be any worse than the MCAT prep books. all i am able to read as of late are cardiovascular texts. not much in the way of plot, but the pictures are cool.

I'm reading The Gift of Asher Lev by Chaim Potok.
It's about a Jewish painter who's from a rather orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn, NY.
It's the follow-up on the book My name is Asher Lev. He's been struggeling his whole life with his people to just be his talented self and to paint and draw. He's been banned by his people because to them art is a very bad thing and certainly a waist of time. Now he's returned to Brooklyn from France, where he's fled to, and the story continues.
