Anyone going to go see this? I think I will, despite the fact that the first one wasn't that great to me, though I do love watching most of my favorite actors in action doing what they do best. Plus I want to support Sly too.

I'm positive I will. I predicted the first movie would be The Greatest Movie Ever Made, and of course it was horrible.

So the way I look at it, "The Expendables 2" can only be better!

The other one had a suprising lack of story & wasn't as over the top 80's fest as i thought it would be

I am. I saw the first one and didn't think it was too terrible. Plus, it's got Van Damme AND Statham in it. I see every Jason Statham movie no matter how bad it is.

It just HAS to be horrible. But then, it really should be horrible and anything more would be disappointing.

I liked Rocky Balboa (IV)

but Rambo IV was half good/half abominable

and the Expendables was just...dumb, boring script, general silliness, dreadful dialogue; the action scenes were sweet though

Exp 2 will probably be DUMB but the trailer delivered, I believe that the presence of Van Damme, Norris, Arnold & Willis will inject an extra dose of "golden age" charisma that part.1 lacked. And I still think that Seagal should have swallowed up his ego/demons and just say "yes, ok, I'll do it"

but I know it's gonna be a DUMB movie; I just want it to be a DUMB & ENTERTAINING movie (unlike part1, which was just DUMB)

so yeah I'll see it, if only for Sly and Van Damme

I love that man. I haven't seen all of his movies but the ones I did see, I felt he was pretty impressive.

We share pretty much the same opinion when it comes to Stallone´s most recent movies ( the only minor difference is that I think Rambo IV really sucked, and the few good scenes that would´ve saved the movie were edited out, like his monologue on war).

By the way, Rocky Balboa was Rocky VI, not IV.

Aww You don't have just a little crumb of hope that the script could be slightly better this time around? I'm just hoping that this one will be an improvement from the first one. The only thing is that, had he paid his damn taxes, Wesley would be in this too. Aww oh well, maybe by the 3rd installment, he'll be out and can participate.

hmm, it depends: the script of Commando is pathetic, lol, but the movie IS entertaining, Rambo II is laughable, but boy it's one hell of an action movie...

I know that Exp2 won't be nominated for "Best Original Script", lol, I just want to be entertained and yes, something tells me that Sly has crafted a more appealing script this time around

Nobody sleeping on Jet Li. I love seeing him in action, but I feel like they under-utilized him in the first Expendables. Part of my disappointment came from someone having to come in and save Jet Li..that's when I said to myself "this is straight bullshit, since when does Jet need anyone to help him out of jam?". That's why I'm hoping, wishing and praying that Sly and the big wigs recognized that shit and fixed it this time around.
