Anyone here can fresh veggies and fruit?

I have a bumper crop of peppers and tomatos. I don't want them to go to waste so I bought all the stuff for home canning. Anyone here ever done it? I'm planning on putting up hot peppers, sweet pepper, peaches, and tomatos. Anyone have a good proven recipe for any of these things?

Oh, and finding the equipment in my local stores was a trip. I asked store employees where I could find their canning supplies, and most of them looked at me with a blank stare. I should have known better than to ask anyone who looked younger than 40 years old. They have no idea what the hell home canning is! Quiet as it's kept, some of you might be clueless, too! lol
