Imagine coming home from school, logging on to the computer and clicking on Internet Explorer and this giant message from the FBI comes up showing you your IP address and claiming that your computer has been locked because you've been distribiting or viewing illegal material...like kiddy porn or copyright material like MUSIC & VIDEOS and you need to pay 200 dollars to unlock it. If you don't pay up in 72 hours criminal action will be taken against you. You can't click out or exit or go back to your desktop. Did I mention that theres a webcam video that actually records you in the warning? That is if you have a webcam. My computer doesn't.

My first reaction was this, naturally: O______O!?! WHAT?!

Second reaction: OH SNAP, I WAS WATCHING THOSE PRINCE VIDEOS THE OTHER DAY AND LISTENING TO SOME OF HIS MUSIC AND HE KNOWS HE DONE SENT THE FBI TO TAKE ME TO JAIL AND NOW I'M GOING TO GET SUED, I'LL BE GETTING A LETTER FROM PAISLEY PARK (Or where ever) ANY DAY NOW...

I'm not kidding. I've seen you all on here talking about those fan horror stories when Prince started sueing people. I freaked out for the second time. Then I remembered I watched the Prince stuff on my laptop not the computer. Annnd, I just told on myself so I really hope P doesn't get on here. He might obtain my IP and track me down...or maybe I'm just paranoid right now. It scared me so much. And then I looked it up cause the entire thing was too shady and now I have to get it removed. I just thought I'd share this and see if any of you guys have had this malware...or just can relate.

The FBI asking for $200 is boolshite. It is a scam.

Any time some hacker acts like they're a government site asking you for money because of "supposed suspicious activity", it's not real. It's definitely a rogue/malware virus.

Thanks you guys. I kinda figured out it wasn't real because I thought it was strange that they wanted me to send them money and a I googled it yesturday, like nearly directly after it showed up. I removed it yesterday as well. It just really freaked me out, but I guess that's the purpose of the entire thing anyway.
