Never saw the first one, but I'm curious.

I liked it, soooooo much better than the first one. It's not like great movie making but it was funny, fun and kinda gross. Chuck Norris was perfect in it, I thought. Van Damme, as the bad guy, Vilian, was great, too.

Went to see it the other day with my son. It was funny as hell. Sly looks...well...I think he's effed up his face.

I only went because Jean Claude was in it. I am still a fan. He's still looking good! But I love Jet Li too and once again he's only in it for a few. Didn't like that Jean Claude was a bad guy. They gave Chuck Norris entirely too much screen time and Jet Li not enough. Steven Seagal is rumored to be in the next one. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Oh wow that would be wonderful!!! I miss Wesley.
How about Wesley and Kurt Russell?

It was AWESOME. 10,000 times better than the first one.
Chuck Norris was great. The line about the cobra? x 1,000,000!
All the inside jokes were just great. Willis, Arnold and Sly were ribbing each other to no end.
The plot was a little better than average but the action was just so perfect that any plot holes were totally ignored and inconsequential.
And, bonus! In the trailers, both Arnold and Stallone have movies coming out where all they do is kick ass and take names!
All in all, I give this movie 10 stars.

I thought it was pretty dope. Definitely more compact & straight to the point more so than the first one. It was cheesy [or course], but I couldn't help but be entertained by it, & it was dope to see Arnold, Willis, Stallone, & Norris kicking ass & smokin' people in one movie together. If you go into it expecting cheese, you will be satisfied. الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

Urgh...Steven? I sense corny lines with him included. I hear that by the time the next installment is to be filmed that Wesley is definitely in talks of being included...especially since he's expected to released by that time. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I don't mind Kurt....as long as he and Sly don't do jokes about Tango & Cash...that movie stunk to high hell. But I would definitely love to see Wesley. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I felt the same way about Jet Li. Why do they keep doing that? Is he just available for a day or two of shooting or what?

Hey Steven wasn't too bad as the baddy in Machete. I read that he wasn't in this one because he and Jean Claude have RL beef. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

I was trying to think of something cool, bloody, explosive, etc. and stars was the best I came up with at the time.
But upon further reflection, I give this movie 10 severed troll heads!
And also 10 stars! | |

Okay went to see the movie today.
-As stated multiple times already, the 5 minutes of screen time of Jet Li was utterly ridiculous. Then I'm just supposed to accept that he literally is dropped off in China and says "see ya later" like it's nothing? Oh hell naw.
-Van Damme looked absolutely delicious in that movie Talk about fione!!!!!
-There still was a great amount of cheese going in the dialog again, but aww oh well. It was more so when Arnold showed up in his scenes. Almost like they couldn't figure out any other thing for him to say (and it seems Arnold isn't a good ad-libber) so they just went with the cheesy stuff.
-More Bruce fighting scenes would had been great too.
-Chuck Norris popping up out the blue those few times was hilarious.
-I can't put my finger on it, but there's something missing from Dolph Lundgren's character.
-I had to chuckle when Sly was "beating up" Van Damme in the final scene because those moves were very reminiscent to his Rocky days. I even yelled out "go Rocky!" during the scene.
-Speaking of the final scene, it could had been a bit longer with Van Damme looking as if he is winning over with Sly. I felt like they had Sly over power Van Damme too early, with Van Damme only getting a few kicks in and then Sly winning the fight...sort of like they set it up to make it look easy for Sly to win. I sincerely believe that Van Damme could have fucked up Sly way more worse that what was actually shown.
-Overall, I still enjoyed seeing some of my favorite action stars in the same movie.
Proposed changes to be made:
1) Please, please, please add Wesley Snipes to the next sequel If this means you have to drop Terry Crews, then I'm fine with that.
2) I wonder if Sly ever considered asking Mr. T if he would be interested in participating.
3) I don't think it would hurt to see Vin Diesel in the next installment either. Haven't really seen him in too much lately. I have heard that Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood (why him?) have been approached to be in the sequel.

totally pissed me off that jet li wasn't in it more come on if u even had 2 kill his character off, a showdown between him and jean claude would have worked tho i still would have cried bullshit lol
and yes i agree with u that jean claude should have had more shots on sly then what there was
and damn sly looked like he invested hard in just for men hair dye didn't he? his hair looked more jet black then when i was born!
positiives 4 me where more scenes with terry in this one, but that other guy coulture i was like who the fuck are u? why u in this more than jet li?!!
tho it may have been cheesy it was still great 2 hear references 2 their career roles lol
and maybe they can get michelle yoeh instead 2 play maggie ..cause i need someone 2 whoop ass lol or hell get zhing zaye! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

From what I read...
Here’s the story:
Steven Seagal:
Jean-Claude Van Damme:
Given that Steven Seagal thinks he’s a clairvoyant god, perhaps he foresaw his own butt getting kicked and decided to back down?

Speaking of 'expendable...' I wonder if people would flock to the theater to see a 'female' Expendables??? I mean, these woman kicked ass and took names and most of them look better than Sly and the rest (excluding Jean Claude ) What do you think??? I read somewhere that an idea for a script might be in the works. And if they don't make this why not have one or three of these ladies join the Expendables 3 cast???
I would love to see this happen!!
L4OA mentioned Michelle Yeoh...
Xena still looks good!!!!
Linda Hamilton
Cynthia Rothrock???
I know Pam is getting up there in age (62) but if Sly can do it why can't she? After all, she is the Godmother of all female action heroes!
They could star with some younger action heroines...
Zoe in Columbiana
Would have been nice to have a cameo with Cleopatra Jones (Tamara Dobson) but she passed away in 2006.
Anyone else you'd rather see? "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Well the man is 66 years old. I'm sure his hair is either salt & pepper or full on grey. In one of the scenes where he's wearing a hat, you can see part of his side burns that was grey. So maybe he was having a bad hair day that day of shooting.
Yeah I didn't even know who that dude was, even my mom asked me "umm who is that?" I was like "shucks I don't know". Yet we only got 5 seconds of Jet Li throwing a few punches and some kicks, then basically said "dueces bitches!" and bounced. But on a serious note, I'm thinking his schedule may have conflicted with the filming schedule and that's why we didn't see more of him.
I'm watching "Fearless" right now to get my Jet Li fix in. [Edited 8/25/12 18:02pm] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Well dayummmm! I didn't know they had beef like that. Interesting. Out of the two, I'll take Van Damme any day. Funny about what Sly said though. I would have loved for someone to had filmed that masterpiece and posted it on Youtube..but it didn't exist back then. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I have a lot of respect for Uma Thurman in the "Kill Bill" movies, so I think she should be added to the list as well. Oh and let's not forget Lucy Lui. She's going to be in the upcoming RZA film "The Man with the Iron Fist" and looks like she's going to be kicking some ass all over the place. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That's what my mom said too, though she was saying that Jet Li should had been the one to fight Van Damme in the end, not Sly. She didn't think it was a fair fight. I agree, but then again, like I told her, Sly is the star/leader in the movie, no way the movie was going to end without Sly fighting Van Damme. But as I said before, they went in too easy on the final fight scene because as much as I love Sly, I'm about 97% sure that Van Damme could fuck Sly up some kind of terrible.
I have to agree. Even though the chick they picked to play this "female" character, I don't think she did enough ass whoopin' to prove herself. She seemed kind of on the whimperish side. Her performance didn't make you go "YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, FUCK HIM UP!!"...kind of like the feeling I got watching Linda Hamilton go in on the terminator in "Terminator 2", or Uma Thurman in the "Kill Bill" movies, or Sigorney Weaver in "Aliens" and various other movies. And it didn't help with the whole shadowy storyline of her sort of being into Sly. Umm right. There was NO chemistry there whatsoever. Do I need to pop "Cobra" in my DVD player tonight? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
