So of All The Batman Villains..

How would you rate Bane? from comic books to movie to show

I have really never cared for Bane.. but after watching the movie i love the character. He is just a big ass human monster, to me a lot scarier then most Batman villains and a lot more powerful.

He isn't as witty as The Joker or psychological as say Scarecrow, but Bane he is just a beast and will break anyone in his way.

Where do you guys rank him on the list of Batmans enemies?

I don't get what the dinosaur is doing on that cover? Did Bane have to go back in time to break Batman's back?

-The Joker

-Two-Face

-Catwoman

-Bane

-Ra's Al Ghul / Talia Al Ghul

-The Riddler

-Scarecrow

-The Penguin

-Poison Ivy (I don't like the sci-fi approach of the character, she rocks nonetheless)

-Maroni / Falcone /other mobsters

drop off

-Harley Quinn

-Hugo Strange

-Mad Hatter

-The Leader of the Mutant Gang

-Deadshot

-Hush

bigger drop off (pure sci-fi villians that don't make sense in the Batman universe, they were tolerable in the '90s animated series though)

-Mr.Freeze

-Clayface

-Killer Croc

-Man-Bat

-Solomon Grundy

-Black Mask

bland

-The Ventriloquist (Scarface)

-those 3 guys disguised as a fox a vulture and something else can't remember right now BS

I don't care about the rest of Batman's (many) foes, that includes Killer Moth, the Owl, Zeus, etc

The dinosaur is in Batman's cave, which is where this fight is taking place. The dinosaur is actually a robot that can be controlled by a remote (as seen in the very recent Night of The Owls story) after it's turned on. Before the Owl story, most people thought it was there just for decoration.

Identity

From Wikipedia:

The cave stores unique memorabilia items collected from the various cases Batman has worked. Originally, these were stored in a room designed just for them; it was explained that Batman and Robin took one memento from each case. Later, the trophies were shown to be in the large main area of the cave, residing among the rest of the Batcave's furnishings.

The most famous and prevalently featured are a full-size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex, a giant Lincoln penny, and an oversized Joker playing card.

The T. Rex comes from an adventure on "Dinosaur Island" (Batman #35, 1946); the penny was originally a trophy from Batman's encounter with a penny-obsessed villain named the Penny Plunderer (World's Finest Comics #30, 1947). Other "keepsakes" in the cave come from "The Thousand and One Trophies of Batman!" (Detective Comics #158, 1950). These three stories were reprinted in Batman #256.

Other pieces often shown in the Batcave are Two-Face's original coin, Deathstroke's sword (the owner of which Batman has fought at least twice), the shroud of the vampiric Monk, and over-sized ten-pins.

This is a very good question. Unfortunately, for me, as a comic book reader since I was 4 years old, I haven't seen the movie adaptations of the comic book characters fulfilling most of the time. But to answer your question...

1) The Joker-Incredible character for Batman. He's the exremist to Batman's controlled persona.

2)Catwoman- Clever, crafty, and selfish. Batman's attraction is his worst enemy with her.

3)Ra's Al Ghul and Daughter Talia- The most menacing of them all. Like Father, Like Daughter.

4)Two-Face- a 50/50 chance that he's on of the greatest batman villains.

5)Bane- Batman's Frankenstein monster!!

6)Scarecrow- A great villsin, especially in the older comics.

7)The Riddler- Great schtick for a Batman bad guy. Everyone can't be a monster.

8)The Penguin- Another colorful enemy.

9)Poison Ivy- She's good when written well.

"Even if I hit the wrong notes, she's always in my boat."

I never really liked him in the comics tbh, he just seemed like one of those pipeline shoe-in villains like Doomsday when DC was just scrambling for sales. Really, what was with the wrestler mask? I did like his portrayal in TDKR though. Tom Hardy added real menace with his performance.

I'm not too fmailiar with all the villains he's faced. But I'd rank Bane way up there simply because he famously was the one who "broke" Batman.

From the 60's TV show, I'd say The Penguin was my fav. His umbrella could do ANYTHING! nod

From the movies, I'd pick Heath Ledger's Joker (who wouldn't?) then Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman (horny).

From the comics? hmmm Riddler maybe?

By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Analyst

I've NEVER been a big Batman person and never really saw the appeal whatsoever whether the comics or the movies...except the one where I think Keaton played the lead and Pfeiffer played Catwoman. For some reason I loved that movie and loved Pfeiffer in that role...

So I guess that's my answer for favorite villain. But only with Pfeiffer specifically in that role.

Fucking hell, I get the exagerrated proportions on characters to an extent, but this artwork just seems bloody awful.

I don't know enough about Batman to make a judgment, but being Bane is the one that broke Batman's back, I would imagine he would be pretty significant?

I'm mixed... tbh i never thought much of Bane till DKR.

He is a juiced up wrestler ''literally'' & that ''accent'' was so over the top in the cartoon lol

Bane is supposed to be not only strong a sfuck but intelligent, in the show i just got the he's a juiced up wrestler bit... intelligent eh. In the cartoon i honestly felt he acted like the Bane in B&R lol

Now the Bane in DKR is strong, smart & sexy lol , The Joker maybe the more ''psychogical'' in breaking down Gotham. But Bane is like fuck that and literally break's it with his bare hands.
