The David Chapplle Show

How many orgers like this show? I watched it the other day and it was hilarious, I have two favorite episodes already... One of my favorite episodes was when he was making fun of the mistubshi commercial, you know the one when the girl be in the car dancing, well he had the same girl doing the same moves, he looked at her like she was crazy and asked "what are you doing, that ain't dancing" Then he had these strippers come out dancing to this luke song and said "now that's what I call dancing" lol If you ever have a chance you guys gotta watch it comes on wedenesday on the Comedy channel.

Chappelle has had some great moments on his show so far... my all time favorite, though will have to be "Ask a Black Dude" with Paul Mooney lol Paul is the man!

Paul Mooney is trully "the man". To this day, a lot of people don't know that a lot of Richard Pryor's funniest stuff was actually written by Paul Mooney. Mooney is what you would call a "behind the scenes" comic genius.

One of the most sociologically insightful skits Chapelle had was the one on the airplane:

In the first two rows, there were two Arab men speaking Arabic... the captions translated their conversation to reveal that they were having a heated discussion about Frenchie getting kicked off of American Idol lol ...

Behind them were two black men, stretching their necks peering over the seat, saying to each other, "Goddamn we would end up sitting behind some terrorists!" ...

Behind THEM, were two white people, looking at the black men in front of them saying, "How did these niggers get into first class?"

Behind them, were two Native Americans, looking at the white people in front of them, talking about how they probably stole their seat like they did the land.

And behind them, were two buffalo lookin at the Native Americans, thinking... damn yall made us instinct.

That skit was pure genius; a very insightful commentary on identity politics. I only wished I had it on tape, cuz I would like to use it in future classes as a discussion piece.

I think new show's air on Wed @ 10:30 PM on Comedy Central. But there are re-runs on other days. Check TVguide.com for "Chappelle's Show".
