True Blood Season 5 episode 5.9 "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"

Sorry I'm late with this. It's been a disgustingly productive day.

I'll skip all the preview stuff since the episode just aired.

HOLY FUCKING FUCK!

I guess the building up is over!

I really really hate Russell. mad Are wolves just stupid or what? Seems they are all idiots except Alcide and Martha. Not caring for the new sheriff at all. confused

Didn't expect Terry to shoot. Thought it was a test for him to take the high road. Guess not. shrug lol

I can't wait to see where it's going now...

I'm glad that Terry's storyline is done!

Poor Pam! omg

Lafayette was hilarious! falloff

I believe that Alcide is going to get his father to come back to Bon Temps with him and "handle" the packmaster... Why else would they introduce Dad and use a pretty decent actor? (I don't remember them abjuring him last week. hmmm)

Okay... I have to say it: As a huge Tears for Fears fan, and being one who rarely likes covers, I was disgusted by that painful remake of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" at the end of the show. It reminded me of, and I had the same reaction that I had to Madonna's version of "Santa Baby".

I love them too. That song is classic and I didn't so much mind the version being sped up...but her vocals were horrendous. disbelief

do u see anything?

yes i do , A FINE MOTHERFUCKER WITH NEW EYELASHES! falloff

i'm not whoopi goldberg in ghost but i is prettier than her!

all u other ghost motherfuckers get gmail and talk 2 them yourself! falloff

and imagine if lala was killedl like he was in the books nbj

okay smh at bud but that line about the cancer in his ass line repaired and i was lmao!

okay but why is emma always in a wolf form now? wtf?

i got the feeling that alcide's new chick will tell alcide about russell and it's gonna be on with his dad helping i belive

it is nice and refreshing 2 see kendra back this season!

good episode all around and i think it's because rachelle tucker wrote it, she always pulls out winning scripts

as 4 the closing songs i'm sensing a theme, a lot of songs or names of episodes are classic songs in their own right (even tho i still can't stand that tears 4 fears song) but they have found remakes of these songs ..i fight the authority and they always win, now this episode and i think there was another this season

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The first thing I thought of was that helium-charged hot mess that Madonna called "Santa Baby".

  • Lafayette is HILARIOUS!
  • I was thinking the same thing... I guess they think that the wolf puppy is cute... No seriously- it's probably because the rationale is that she hasn't learned to control it yet. I bet she'll change back when she gets to Russell/Rev. Newlin's home, and be really scared. sad (and hopefully not naked?! omfg - she'll conveniently have clothes, unlike the adults)
  • The wolf mother-in-law (name?) will join with Alcide, too. nod

On the logistics side, you very well may be right that it's easier to show a wolf cub that a tea-cup human.

On the story side, Emma probably cannot control when she changes as she has changed at such a young age.

And O.G., I have no problem with the deviation from the books where LaLa is concerned, never have. There are also many other deviations from the books that help double the pleasure, but some of the deviation bug the hell outta me. Not ALL but SOME.

Yeah, the whole Hotshot storyline hasn't made an appearance at all this season, but there are still three episodes left.

lol

Over a year has passed so if Jason's going to have any cubs, they'll be a several months old already.

btw if u ever watched the show big love, the tech geek in the authroity building was on the show

but yes the inner demon in me is wanting a return 2 hotshot and the ramifications of his capture

i guess the whole "dirt" look of hotshot doesn't pair up with the brightness and glamour of this years show ..and i'll make this bold prediction too, ..i don't think we've seen the last of christopher meloni

Molly has been my favorite new character this season. Tina Majorino was also in Waterworld and Napoleon Dynamite. I love her!

I'm also digging the new Area 5 Sheriff. Don't get me wrong, I hope Eric turns him into a big pile of goo with the quickness, but he's kinda crazy/bad ass & I like that.

As far as Hotshot goes, I'm wondering if that whole storyline will completely disappear. The were-panthers' goal was to turn Jason & repopulate, but Jason had made a comment about them being so stupid that they got that all wrong. Also, one of the problems was that the women were having trouble conceiving, so maybe that was the end of that....and maybe not.

Okay y'all, yes I'm late on this, this week.

Urgh..how many more episodes we got left of this crash and burn season?

Okay, can someone please explain to me what Bill is doing and the whole Salome/Nora plot is? Cause I'm not ashamed to say that I'm confused as hell. I see Eric about to save the day but then Bill shits all over it because he bit Salome and blood came out. So is she really Lilith? Sorry, like I said I'm confuse as hell when it comes to that damn plot.

I don't mean no harm, but Terry looked a bit sexy when he finally shot the other guy after seeing that lady's vision. lol I was like DAAAYYYUUUMMMM Terry. But so glad that subplot is over. Urgh.

Lafayette has me rolling!!!! The scene when he's looking in the mirror trying to find that vamp-ghost for Sookie...falloff faint

So there's a new vamp sheriff in town? Wow, he knocked the bejesus out of Pam. I was ready to beat his ass myself for that. Poor Pam, she needs Eric so bad. I think she's lost without him. Poor thing. sad I do hope eventually they have Eric coming back to her.

They really are reaching with the Russell controlling the werewolves pack type thing. If he wasn't so hilarious, I would be bored at this plot too.

Okay so the big fat trailer trash bitch was the "dragon" of the pig pens? falloff Hilarious. And dumbass Sookie. I bet now she wishes she didn't waste all her special power energy in that field the other week trying to get rid of it and then she needed it to help save her but couldn't use it. Big dummy.

So does Jason still care about Jessica or what? They confusing the fuck out of me with this whole Hoyt/Jessica/Jason love triangle. This is not the Bold and the Beautiful fucktards. disbelief

Can we get some more naked scenes of Alcide please?

That.is.all.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
