Ok, i need some advice on how to go about this.

Now the last few months have been different living wise, i have owned 2 apartments since coming to L.A & Now i am sharing the lease with 4 other guys.

I was cool with this, and i am really close with 3 of the guys, but then there is another who..... ugh idk what to do.

Homeboy was cool at first, but he is MESSY! grant it all of us in the house are guilty of being messy at times, but i pretty much work, come home & then sleep most day's. So i like to maintain shit somewhat nicely.

One of the roomies.. he is a rich boy & his response to cleaning dishes first time was ''oh i don't do dishes '' So after me & another roomie clean the entire house he just sits there the entire time.

Finally after i have to get a little.. not so nice about him cleaning he tells me ''i get maids to clean shit '' This motherfucker need's to learn we are past the playpen stage of life & we are adults.. and we clean. Idk where that got lost in his noggin!

And the worst part is HE MAKES THE BIGGEST MESS, he is like hardcore health nut & literally eats chicken & broccoli everyday. He never cleans out the nasty dish with that smelly shit, he leaves his nasty gym clothes just lying around.... he has these Oates that he always spills around the house.

Oh and on top of all THAT he sleep walks and apparently from what people told me he eats in his sleepwalks , so this bitch just leaves messes all around the house.

I had a shoot in Long Beach last week for 4 day's, came back house was trashed! the trash overflowing & he just got more bags to put shit in and just let it all pile up.. so i took out all that. Cleaned the dishes, clean all the nasty shit up he spilled in the carpet & also for the 2nd time had to clean the garbage disposal cause his broccoli get's stuck in there.

I am really not sure wtf to do, the boy pays his rent on time..., so not like the manager would really care if he is messy or not. I have nicely had talks with him & recently have had to be a total bitch and that still didn't get the point across.

I hate coming home from work and the house is trashed! and my other roommates are not home often either. I came home today and we have fucking ants and shit

So please tell me what are some opinions on how to better this situation? cause this mofo is about to get my fist

If he has maids clean up after him he needs to hire one asap. And I'd tell him that.

Since you've already tried to talk to him about it several times at this point I'd take his dirty crap he leaves around the house and put it all on his bed. Every single time. Dirrty dishes, clothes, whatever. If he can't clean it and put it away then it goes on his stuff.

If he's going to be bounced, you and your roommates will have to man up and tell him to hit the bricks. No manager is going to evict someone who pays his rent on time.

But what will he do about his share of the rent then?, i have had many yelling fights with him & he always backs down. But even if i ''bounced'' him one of us will have to pay his share until we find another roommate.. which could be awhile.

I wish i could do that, but the money issue. Having to get his name off the lease & get a new roommate. It would just be a big shit storm it seems

I have done that, not the dishes aspect mind you

But i have thrown his shit on his bed many times, and once in his face when i was.. rather pressed

And the funny thing he is he would always ask us for ''girl'' advice.. why he asked me to is beyond me since he know's i'm gay

And he is constantly wondering why he doesn't have a gf , besides the fact he won't date a girl unless they meet his ''standard'' He also can't even wash one dish... so i'm not suprised he stays single.

I still have this ''crazy'' notion that older people are supposed to be more mature. But i have been proven a couples times that is not always true.

Yeah, tell him that if he doesn't want to help clean up the messes he makes then he has two choices: pay for a maid or pay you and the other roommates directly for cleaning up after him.

I have gone through this situation when living with my 2 sisters. I seem to be the only one that wants things to be clean. I can not stand clutter,it drives me crazy,and I like to keep my house lcean at all times,just incase someone should drop by,and I just feel better when it is.

My sisters on the other hand could really care less,and everytime I have to pick up the kitchen cause nobody else gives a shit,I wish I could live alone. Unfourtunately,I have been unemployed for almost 3 years,and it isn't a option.

I would tell him if he doesn't want to pick up his own shit then he best hire this maid that he claims to have hired to do it before. Just cause he is to damn lazy to pick up after his own damn self doesn't mean that the rest of you should have to live like that.

Like everyone has said, the dude has choices. Pay up (for maid service) or clean up.

My first gut reaction though is to take all the messes he leaves around the place and put them all in his room.

Have him pay for the maid or you guys to clean up (as said above.).

OR make it undesirable to live there. It can be done under false pretense. Perhaps act like your starting a drug meth lab (pretend the ingredients or something they are not-so you can't be busted.) get all the roomates to cooperate.) That should get his attention.

We had an arrangement that worked for us, we had a household of 5 at one stage, all earning a wage except one girl who was still a student, since one of the guys was like YOUR guy, almost exactly - wouldn't clean, health nut with protein powder shit on the floor we proposed that we all pitch in and give the student a discounted rent if she cleaned - which she did well and cheerfully.

It worked for us!
