is that allnatural colors? If they could get cotton to grow that color of blue (as well as other colors) it would change the world of textiles.

I've had purple sweet potatoes, and they are delicious. shrug

Same here. I try to eat purple potatoes on the regular, but their pretty pricey...only sold in BIO ("organic") markets here. Colored potatoes also make awesome homemade chips...very artisan looking an they always look chic to serve alongside a cocktail, too.

Sausages look like dicks too. Will you turn down a Johnsonville Bratwurst

with chipotle mustard and a good beer because it's shaped like a dick? lol

I don't care what color they are. I love potatoes. I've had to cut back. One week I had a baked potatoe every day with the works, sour cream, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, salt, pepper and chives.

All of that looks too pretty to eat,

Considering the nutritional value I need to diversify. Potatoes I think are durable, drought and all.

Yes those are natural. What we see in the grocery store isn't the tip of the iceberg of what's available. They may be already hybiding cotton.

I used to eat those purple potatoes too but these days they are a bit hard to find around here. The guy at the market told me that he was getting them from a farmer in the Schleswig-Holstein region. Those purple and red potatoes are actually much more natural, and much closer to the real deal than those manipulated and modified big Idaho potatoes.

I also like sweet potatoes in all colors, whether the inside is white, orange, red or purple, as long as they taste good I don´t care about the color. lol

Now I've seen purple potatoes in specialty stores, but haven't tried them. So they're sweet? How sweet? That's the problem I have with yams (orange flesh), since the only way I can eat them without adding sugar, is to roast them with olive oil and salt, that gets boring. I tried baking with butter and putting other stuff and I not that crazy about them. Regular potatoes I can eat everyday, and they help so much with my sugar cravings., especially when I excercise a lot. But seeing the health value I might just push through all these colors anyway.

Aren´t those two methods basically the same? I mean, you roast them in the oven, right? And you also bake them in the oven. The only difference I see above is that you use butter for one version and olive oil for the other.

How long do you roast them? I´ve never tried roasting them but I have eaten roast sweet potatoes in a restaurant and they tasted delicious.

I'm so glad they had a picture because when I first heard it I pictured a candy apple red monstrosity. I think I'd have issues with that, but this I think I'd try.

Of course. What's the problem? Clearly a potato.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I've eaten a lot of red potatoes, but they usually look like this:

That red potato shown earlier looks more like beets than potatoes, but I'm sure it tastes just fine.

Roasting seems to bring out a different flavor, even when I do it with various white potatoes, there's a flavor difference between roasting them and baking them that I like.

I love these I almost always buy them except to pair up with green beans. Even to mash them up with russets.

I try to avoid the fried stuff, which doesn't always work.
