Something You Don't Understand About Society? I don't know why people won't accept a person for being themselves. Fashion wise.
Like, how come I can't wear... wear waist high pants like people did in the 70's? I know I can do these things if I wanted to, but why would people look at you differently? I hear people say "I'm free" or "I can do what I want to", but they're the same people who are scared of getting bad talk.
I walk on the edge, I know how to be different without crossing the line. I'm not going to lie, I sometimes see women clothing that I wish I could wear. Now, I'm not talking heels or anything of that nature. Something like a unisex sweater or something. I'm in touch with myself. I don't like to smell like a male because we smell to strong, I'm more fond of a women smell. It's the truth. I'm not gay or bi or anything, I love women...I guess I love women way too much.

We've had somewhat-related discussion on here before.
Being a New Yorker, I'm jaded to people wearing whatever they want while out & about, hanging out or whatever. (Even though I will be honest...I did a double-take when I was down south and spotted a few black dudes wearing knee-high socks with colorful stars & shit...is that a new trend???)
That being said, when you work for a serious company, your wardrobe should reflect it. Simple, clean & professional. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I wouldn't wear that. Think of the wardrobe that the Cosby girls wore on the Cosby show aha

I don't understand society's fascination with celebrities personal lives.

I just can't be bothered what people think about my clothes...
I am realtively short and obese and I will walk around feeling cute showing my arms in a spagetti strapped summer maxi with an sunhat that sports a 11.5" brim on occasion ....
yes, people OPENLY talk shit about me when I walk down the street. "Hey Haitian!" Like being called a Haitian would insult me. I wear what I feel comfortable wearing and I don't care...
funny thing, I bought that big ol' hat 2 years ago and now its in the damn Lexus commercial.
I never really cared what others thought of how I dressed and never followed trends. I also will never understand why people care so much about what others have anyways. Its like society at large centers around envy ....
those who have and plan to have look down on those who don't
those who get do so to say they got it first
those who get want the biggest, best, fastest, prettiest... to feel superior to others so they can use their possesions as a measuring stick to proclaim their superiority to others....
as a society we sad as hell.

Don't worry, societies will be old fashion in a few decades.
Internet and improved transport modes already connect people from all over the world. Globalisation opens up people's rusty historically induced ideas about good/bad and other values.
Already countries have to come up with solutions for internet jurisdiction across borders.
The whole nonsense of artificial country borders, local government and monetary unit will not exist anymore in a couple of hundred years.

That we made this society but folks still acting like society "fucked them up". We're all fuck ups.

What's the bad mood about?
Contemporary society treats women better than they ever have been treated before.
I'm still ambitious with my plans for change, however, people really treat eachother a lot better than they did ever before.
There are as many arguments to be negative about mankind, as there are positive, right? 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Ex-Moderator | People care a lot less about what you wear than you think. They might give you a second look walking down the road, but that's the whole point of dressing fun, isn't it?
Unless you're in a job interview, wear what you want. |

Ain't no bad mood. Just speaking my point about it. It ain't even pessimistic. It's good to admit we can be fuck ups sometimes.

People who state they are anti-fashion yet the clothes they wear are still themselves an example of fashion. There is no getting away from it so it makes me chuckle.

I don't understand the need to be part of every "cause" that comes along... those people who hop on the back of every bandwagon that rides by...
And worse: The people who try to claim that it was their "thing" before it became popular, to gain "extra hipness" for being so down with said cause. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I started not caring between 18 and 23 and went crazy wearing 80's and 90's like clothing, resembling jackson style combined with the current style of that time, though some picked on it, and others simply thought I was into rock/punk when I would say I was more into r&b, but looking back, I realize I was fucking with people's minds subconsciously too and it amused me how quick people can throw you into a box and be completely wrong about you. I have toned down compared to before though I still like mixing and matching old and new pieces in a different way, and happen to love rock, new wave, and a little bit of metal compared to before way more than back then.

I don't understand most people's total lack of consideration for others. Everyone is so self-absorbed and focused on themselves they often forget - or simply don't care - how their actions (or inactions) affect others.
