I just got tested last friday & once in june to... cause i have been enjoying livign & working out here in Westwood so hey i went to parties & i had some fun along the way

I think it's ok to have fun, but just be smart about it. I meet to many people who say they have NEVER been tested and have messed around with dozens & dozens of guys and gals. And i also meet people who say there HIV Positive but that it is not detectable

I have this new rule, before i have sex with someone they get tested & i will even offer to do so with them. I want to have fun, but i would rather know the person a bit before & i want to to know for sure there clean cause i just don't want the risk

I have had a few ''friendboys'' as i call them, not boyfriends but special friend's with benefits pretty much they where cool with doing that & we had fun with nothing bad happening.

It's summertime, you should live a little & have fun! i mean i'm 21 so i do't need to settle down anytime soon , but i just get worried cause so many people have sex with lots of people while just assuming there clean.

Why are people so afraid to get tested? i myself used to be afraid of it. But it's a smart thing to do & if you DO have something. I realize it maybe embarrassing.. but you should be honest with someone you will be physical with. And not have them wake up one morning oh! you got that surprise crabs & gonorrhea on the dick

I myself get tested yearly... but I have a slow paced lifestyle, my doctor tests me JIC.

Just on the news some guy got arrested for going around spreading Hepititis, state to state. It's not an STD but still some folks are just jerks and folks need to be careful.

About herpes:

One out of five of the total adolescent and adult population is infected with genital herpes.

Most people will never know they carry it because they are immune to any outbreaks and never have any symptoms their whole life. And most people get tested for HIV or other stuff, very rarely do people get tested for herpes.

It's a strange herpes world!

Has anyone here been tested for herpes? It's a specific test you have to ask for, as far as I know. Chances are almost sure that someone has it and doesn't know because they never got tested.

I'm curious as to how many here actually have asked for that specific test (it's not normally part of the blanket std tests youy would get if you asked for an std screening, but then again I might not know what's going on with all that in recent years).

I agree it's important for sexually active people to be tested regularly, but I've gotta say that even if one were tested for STIs after every meal, that wouldn't do anything to curb them from actually contracting an infection. Heck, by the time a test can tell us anything, it's a bit late, no?

At some point I think folk need to critically review a lifestyle that would see them requiring repeated STI tests just a few short weeks apart, for example. Why not offset all that testing with simply pulling in the reins a bit?

Well... do continue to be as safe as possible out there.

Abstinence or monogamy are the true answers.......promiscuity is what progagates these things, so in a sense getting STD tests is like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, by the time you do it it could be too late.
