LOL at me being homophobic. My boss is a homosexual and he is one of the nicest people anyone can ever meet, and we get along fine.
I'm just raising a question. If I offend anyone, I apologize. It's not my intention..

You're trying to get gay people to convert and you don't think that's a teeny weeny bit homophobic?
you.are.a.homophobe.
Just admit it. There are plenty others here.

I'm raising a question to see what people think here? If it's possible.
Relax, there are countless gay people who try and convert straight men. Go on YT, they say their biggest trophy is getting a straight dude.

Dude, you just said in a few posts up that gay folks should try conversion therapy. Is that for their benefit or for yours?
And countless gay people who try to convert straight men? GTFOOHWTBS.

You're really trying hard to out me as a homophobe I'm a fan of Frank Ocean too. Good music is good music.
BTW Prince is straight FYI and has never sung about a man. The song IIWYG was sung in the perspective of a woman. He wants to get close to his girl like how close her female friends are to her.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
YT it bruh, I can't be bothered to do so.
It's of no benefit. Just an experiment.....see if it's possible they can become straight so they don't have to suffer abuse and neglect in their lives.

Prince has sung about sexual ambiguity in more than a few songs.
AND if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck.....
You put this shit out here and people formulate opinions and I think you have a real problem with gay people.

OK, I'm not sure if this is baiting or what, but I'll just reflect a personal set of experiences in my life from having lived here in Thailand for the last 3 years.
In my time here, I have witnessed 13/14 year old gay boys who walk about flamboyantly flaunting their personality, while their straight friends seem to have no second thought of it.
I've seen gay high school students and straight 'jock' students join together in study groups and it's "no big thing."
I've seen ladyboys as teachers in CATHOLIC schools, at the counter in fancy upscale hotels, run bars, restaurants, and working at electronic stores, etc. just like anyone else.
I have never once, ever here seen a homosexual or a transexual in the big city or any small town (of which they are also open and unafraid) harassed or shunned or even stared at... not once.
If homosexuals in America are suffering fron discrimination, maybe it's not the homsexuals who need therapy...maybe society's sick...

oh, by the way.
As far as changing your sexual orientation.
Well, I'm gong to say something nobody will agree with, but why not? Sexuality doesn't always follow predictable templates.
What I can say is that sexual orientation "therapy" is bullshit. I mean, if a person loves red heads, you can't force them to like blondes instead. But, it's highly plausible that one day they may prefer blondes due to their own reasons. Forcing that on them is just silly.

But we are talking about someone who according to Dewrede was NOT out. So I'm assuming this is a man who lived as Straight and not Gay nor apart of the Gay Community. And according to Dewrede this 'real' person grew up in a time 'when being gay wasn't socially accepted'
I guess it's possible to 'self Identify' with the Gay community, but in this situation, it seems his Straight Family lifestyle might be the thing defining his identity. Obviously if he came out later, either he was just tired of lying to himself or couldn't anymore, met someone of the same sex or began reading studying learning of homosexuality and gay life cultures etc
I really don't see how he could identify as Gay, if he had none of those things happening.
Dewrede:i knew a gay man that was married and had kids before he came out he was older and grew up at a time when being gay wasn't socially accepted

I'm not proud of it, but I've messed with a couple of "down-low" guys in the past. One even had a wife and kids.
Sexuality isn't a choice at all.
Why would someone choose to be attracted to the same sex when society compares gays to pedophiles and call us sinners and immoral?

Interesting read, guys. If you have any gay friends or associates, try and get them participate in this program. At the very least notify them of this Wiki.
It doesn't work. All it does is make them want to kill themselves and throw the self deeper in the closet. It's not a mental illness, it doesn't need therapy. Homosexuality is just a part of life as heterosexuality (there's no such thing as straight) some people just don't want to realize it

Your question sounds like it´s a bad thing to be gay, as if it´s a bad habit one should kick.
Reminds me of a leaflet that a gay friend of mine was given by a Catholic group the other day. The leaflet contained advice on how to "get rid of your homosexuality". The question alone does come across as very homophobic.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

So they won't suffer abuse and neglect in their lives? Please!
Society is more than happy to let us know what we are with their homophobic remarks before we even know what the remarks mean, let alone act upon our desires. We catch the hell years before we ever come out of the closet and the only thing that makes it better is when we finally do come out, stop lying to ourselves, enjoy the desires that we naturally have that we denied ourselves for so long, and also see that we're not alone and that there are others that have gone through the same exact thing that we have.
If a person were to "go straight", in reality, the only thing they would be doing is going back into the closet and living the lie they lived before they came out of it. The sexual desires for the same sex would still be there, they just wouldn't act upon them. And even if it were possible to switch their sexual desires to the opposite sex, their natural gestures would still be there. You said you believe Prince is straight, well, I believe he's gayer than an audience at a Martha Wash concert. But even if he were straight, and he does indeed claim that he's straight, just go over to some of the other internet boards whenever his name comes up in the news and see some of their remarks. They are some of the worst homophobic abusive remarks I've seen. See, here's this guy that claims to be straight but yet he gets the exact same remarks about him that those of us who are out of the closet get. So this little excuse of pretending to care about someone catching abuse and and trying to help them escape the abuse by "going straight" is a bunch of bullshit. All it is, is an attempt to get them to go back in a closet and go hide somewhere and not make waves that may change things. Even if it were possible for us to "go straight", the abuse would STILL continue and it would be even worse because we wouldn't have others around us who suffer the same abuse to console us and get us through it. . . . Why do you even bother asking this question? What does it matter that some people like men and some like women?
I really don't understand this obsession about something that has always been here.
If you're not gay yourselve, why do you even care if a man lives with another man?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That's the first thing I thought of too when I read this. Andy is a four letter word.

Sure, because all gay people suffer abuse and neglect....but besides that, what's next, change black people into white people so they don't get dicriminated any more? Change women into men so there won't be any oppression of women any more?
Maybe you could do an experiment yourself: accept people for who they are. Let me know how it goes.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That was PRECISELY the point I was going to address. The question, as the OP presents it for discussion, presumes a gay person was straight in the first place. It's almost like asking "Can you turn a Cat back to being a Dog?".
