Can anyone recommend a good Bahamas resort?

I on the budget travel end of the spectrum.

How are the all-inclusives?

If you're looking to go 'budget' and basically just looking to spend some time at the beach in perfect weather and relaxing at the hotel, I'd highly recommend Haiti---but at the Southern towns away...far away from Port 'O' Prince.

I thought Haiti was just lovely, the water is prestine and blue, the weather is hot, but the breeze at the beach wonderful.....and the people were just lovely. ... Plus, it's cheap as hell.

Sounds good. I'm decided to skip Paradise Island as too commerical and expensive. I don't care aout casinos and bars, I just want to hit the beach, see the sights, maybe fish.

I was considering the other side of the island, the Dominican Republic. I have a freind who been there several times. I wonder how Haiti is now after the earthquake?

Go to Bermuda instead.

My husband and I have been to Paradise Island twice. We stayed at the Atlantis and the Riu Palace. Both were nice and the RIU is all-inclusive, but I guess it depends on what you're looking for. We liked the area. There is a beautiful marina with great shops and the casino at the Atlantis is awesome. We spent a day on Elutheria and went into town a few times. We went in late March, so the weather was amazing.
